BACKCOUNTRY SHELTER offers a place to park your RV, or a flat grassy tent site. Also a wooden picnic table, small gas grill with one camping propane tank (1 lb), and fire ring.  The site is on the edge of our farm road and has a large picnic shelter where the table sits.  Please note that Loomis Lake which is nearby is not our property.  A property map in included in the photos.  Please review it and be sure to stay within our 2000 acres.  The portable toilet is trailer-mounted and will be placed several hundred yards away - a nice walk during the daytime but you may want to drive to it for nighttime use.  There is no electricity or water at Backcountry Shelter,  however we are happy to bring potable water, as well as a shower setup to you for additional fees.  We also have available to rent a large 10x10 tent, sleeping cots and pads, sleeping bags, chairs, and a 10x10 EZ Up Canopy on a first-reserved basis.   Please call or message us if you'd like to camp without transporting all of this gear - we will even setup and tear down your camp for you!    The roads leading to this site  are in good condition - even a small car can easily get here.   A map will be emailed after confirmed reservation.    One of our staff will meet you at our Route 106 campus - shown on the map - and you will follow us out to Backcountry Shelter.

Upon our arrival to Backcountry Shelter we felt welcomed immediately by Jennifer. The site was set up with a nice sized shelter (perfect for unexpected rain) that has a picnic table, 2 trashcan with lids, and a hammock. We also had a bundle of firewood, 1 water jug and 2 chairs set up waiting for us. Another welcoming plus to this site was the spotless port-a-potty approximately 1/2 mile away. Some of my favorites about this site was: 1.)Easily accessible and able to drive up to site 2.) Secluded from other campers 3.) Gravel roads available on the property to take an afternoon hike. We made some wonderful memories at this site and look forward to booking the Distant View site next. Thanks for your hospitality, Jennifer!

We had really wonderful time at Jeffers Farm. It was very private- the neighboring site was almost a mile away, and the road was pretty far too. The site was set up with a gas grill, a picnic table, water, two cans (one for garbage and one for recycling) and a fire pit with two chairs. The stars were incredible- we saw a few shooting stars and the milky was is extremely easy to see. Jennifer was a great host - she met us at the address and led us up to the site and made sure we had everything we needed.

This was a great open site with a covering. The hammock was great for an afternoon nap. My wife said this was the best bathroom of this year camping season. Saw family of deer and tones of butterflies. The privacy was of the sites is what us city people love.
