Cottage on 1797 Farm
Peaceful Stay
I only had 1 night at Christopher’s and I wish I had more! He accommodated my early arrival after a red eye flight, and the sunroom was the perfect spot for a post traveling nap :) The trails around the property are beautiful, the cottage itself was clean and had everything I needed, and the space was tucked away in nature enough for me to have a total reset.

Surprisingly central to breweries, Valley Forge and other attractions. Pheonixville was a super cool small town. Nice area and cute cottage would recommend.

Cottage on 1797 Farm
I want to start with the good things about the property: its a beautiful, well kept place. Very charming state and the cottage has everything you need (and maybe more) - there is even laundry on site. What really upset my family was how the owner handled a mistake he made during our weekend trip: he double booked the cottage - shortly after we arrived some other family knocked on the door claiming they also had booked the place. That could have been OK, mistakes happen and I am sure it is hard to manage rental properties, specially when you post them in different websites. Christopher sent me a message overnight (1:45AM), saying that my family had showed up without payment and asking me how he was going to get paid. It took me, someone that had booked and paid the place a month before the trip, to contact Hipcamp to handle the situation with the owner. Hipcamp, fortunately, solved the problem with the owner but it was a stressing, unnecessary situation I had to go through in my family's weekend off. I would recommend people to look for some other properties in Chester County.

Cottage on 1797 Farm
This property is a beautiful place to stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone! As soon as we pulled up, we knew we would love this property! I am not exaggerating when I say that the estate that the cottage is on feels like it is transporting you to France. All of the architecture and stone work and ivy all around the property feels very European and sophisticated and it is an absolutely beautiful place to stay! It is so relaxing to just walk around the property and see all of the scenic views as well as the incredible architecture. I loved seeing all of the detailing on the buildings! It's also a great place to stay with all of the modern amenities like WiFi, running water, heating and air, etc. while still being in nature and having beautiful scenery to enjoy. They also offer a washer and dryer in the cottage, a full bathroom, a kitchen and coffee bar, a beautiful sunroom, and a comfortable living and dining area. There are options to get out into nature as little or as much as you would prefer around the area as well! If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay on a property that is full of beautiful architecture and views, this is the perfect place for you!
