David & Dawn went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable place to pitch our tent. It was late and we were tired from a long day of driving and we’re able to just pull right up to the camp and settle in. We highly recommend Woodland ranch.
David was nice and helpful when we arrived. It’s a great deal and I’d definitely stay again on my way up north. Very easy from freeway but feels very country up at the tent area. Rv area down below would be a super easy pull off when traveling up I-5. Affordable and simple. Felt safe.
My friend and I (plus my pup) had a last minute booking, and Dawn and David accepted us right away. Their property was easy to get to and had several tent site options. We were warmly greeted by Dawn first and then David was kind enough to show us the lot at the bottom of the hill and the best place to set up our tents. He even came back down to check on us and if we needed extra water. Kind folks - thanks again :)
A great place to stay
The location was conveniently located within close proximity to the freeway. It was also a nice cozy property. I would definately return, and am going to recommend to friends and relatives.
Cheap, easy access yet private.
If you are a tenter you'd have a ton of space (80 acres?) to choose from, although they mentioned there is "wildlife" around (possibly cougars and bears).
If you are like us and just needed a cheap, safe, easy access off the hwy to overnight and get going again then it's perfect. It is rustic but private. You can hear the traffic from the highway if that sort of thing bothers you. The blackberries were amazing!
I loved my stay here. Before I entered the first gate onto the property, I met David & Dawn's neighbors at the bottom of the hill. They were nice enough to escort me through all the gates up to David & Dawn's property at the top of the hill.
There I met David, and after connecting, he hopped into his car and gave me a brief tour of the property before leaving me to enjoy my evening.
The campsite is gorgeous, and I appreciated the personal connection that David (and his neighbors!) gave to the experience. 10/10 recommendation!
Welcome stop on long journey
It was easy to find, and just right for car camping and catching some sleep before a long drive. I felt safe and it was quiet. Though near the highway, it was generally quiet at night. Just what was needed the price was right
