Description

The Southshore Campground is located on the glistening Detroit Lake. The campground has easy access to a boat ramp, and the Stahlman Point Trail is nearby, where Osprey have been spotted. Paddle out to Piety Island in the middle of the Detroit Lake for the afternoon, and climb the short but challenging Piety Knob. The 30 campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis! Visit the official site for area alerts and closures. The best time of year to visit is September, when you’ll also miss the summer crowds!
