The Wilkinson farm was formed in the 1930's and 40's by Edmund and Elda Wilkinson. Edmund logged 100 acres by hand- clearing a farm that his son and grandson still work today. But fortunately for us all, adjacent to the farm he also left 140 acres of South Santiam river-front forest untouched. That is the part of the property on which you will have secluded access (other than the cows) to relax, splash, and ramble. The owner (another of Edmund's grandsons) has many fond memories of growing up roaming these woods. Swimming in the river, startling deer, wild black berries, fox gloves, and morel mushrooms. Come make some memories of your own.

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday with a family camping trip. I was thrilled to find this property as it was ideally suited for our group. We had lots of room for our 6 tents, multiple hammocks, and 6 vehicles while still feeling a nice combination of both community and personal space. The space is private and secluded, being over 1/2 mile from the farmhouse and no other homes or structures in sight. Some of us did get out in our kayaks, but just know the current is strong. The fire pit is wonderful with lots of room around it for everyone to cook or just enjoy time around the campfire. Surprisingly we had cell service. Overall this was a fabulous weekend and all of us agreed this setting was a perfect spot for our family celebration. We will be back!

Great riverside area perfect for groups (~6 tents and 6 cars). Plenty of tree canopy for shade but also sky exposed area for sun and stars. Private and secluded. River is a somewhat swift but perfect for a dip, splash or float. Host is available when needed but let's you enjoy your stay without interruption. Property is great to explore with cows everywhere. Will be returning.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Aaron was so kind and helpful, we cant thank him enough for letting our family enjoy his property. The free range cows were a big hit with the kids as well as the adults. Hope people who visit in the future will treat this place with all the respect and care it deserves!

Aaron is a wonderful host who shared his beautiful property with us during the total eclipse. The river is gorgeous, the woods are magical and the wild blackberries are delicious! Thanks for everything!

A wonderful camping spot. We spent the night here for the eclipse, at the river campsite. It is a remarkably beautiful and tranquil place; we are so grateful that Aaron (the host) decided he wanted to share the space with others! The river is refreshing, the stars are beautiful at night, and our dog had the time of her life running around, splashing in the water, and chasing bugs. We even got a little visit from the cows in the late morning, which was very cute. The outhouse is clean and well-kept, and there is a fire ring, though we didn't make use of it. Aaron is a friendly and thorough host, showing us to our campsite and answering all of our questions. We did have a bit of trouble finding the right place (evidently the HipCamp directions lead you to a similar spot on the opposite side of the river, hopefully this gets resolved! But that turned into a fun little adventure). Highly recommended.
