UPDATE JULY 4TH, 2019

THE MOSQUITOES HAVE HATCHED OUT THIS WEEK AND ARE HONESTLY MISERABLE.  IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BRAVE THEM YOU CAN SEND US A NOTE.  WE ARE GOING TO TRY SPRAYING WITH MOSQUITO BARRIER WHICH IS GARLIC BASED AND SAFE FOR ANIMALS AND PEOPLE.  IF THIS WORKS WE WILL OPEN THE CALENDAR BACK UP.  IF NOT, WE WILL OPEN AGAIN IN THE FALL WHEN THEY HAVE DIED OFF.

Our place is located in the high desert, right off 97 on the CA/OR border. Our south fence line is the actual border. Thus, we are closer to Dorris, CA. (3 miles) vs. Klamath Falls, OR (18 miles). There are grassy spots with juniper trees that affords folks some privacy and some bare/rocky areas with trees as well. You can see our place from parts of the land, our pump house, the neighbors', and the road. In other spots you won't see anyone. There are tons of lakes and wildlife refuges nearby, the Klamath River, etc.

You can horse back ride up the dirt road or mountain bike all the way to Keno, staying to the right at the fork in the road. We are just getting started and plan to add water, propane fireplaces, electric hopefully,  and a shower set up, and some corrals for people interested in horse camping. It is a work in progress! For now, we are happy to fill your water jugs and help in anyway we can.

The perimeter of the property is fenced on 3 sides but deer, elk, coyotes, and rabbits are frequent. We have cats and dogs and the cats may wander over sometimes. Please look out for pets when you are coming in. Some points of interest include:

Tulelake National Wildlife Refuge 38 miles, Lower Klamath Lake 20 miles, Meiss Lake 4 miles, Crate Lake 90 miles, Rocky Point 59 miles, Lava Beds National Monument 56 miles, Lake of the Woods 64 miles.

Thanks so much for checking us out. We do allow pets but ask that you keep them on leash if recall is an issue. Our neighbors dogs are not the friendliest and are off leash running around at times.
