We loved this Hip Camp. The campsite was large and secluded, giving us plenty of privacy along the creek. It’s also very close to the owners’ blueberry orchard. The property is not far from a fairly busy highway which you can hear but not see. It soon just became unobtrusive background noise. There’s electricity at the camp site and water just a short walk away. Valerie and George were wonderful hosts, giving us plenty of privacy and space but also checking in occasionally to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. (Our dogs loved it too!)
Valerie and George were very friendly and gracious hosts! Some things about thw property that are not mentioned in their listing: 1 there is a flushing toilet adjacent to the shower, if using an outhouse isnt your thing just use that one when you shower, 2 their property is actually a Upick blueberry farm, if you have kids they qould love to go through the bushes and pick some blueberries, and then you could even use those blueberries for blueberry oatmeal for breakfast. I imagine hipcamp doesnt want them to self advertise like that, but i am free to say it. They also have a water hose that runs all the way down to the camping area, for you to use for cooking or filling drinking water bottles or washing dishes, and it's delicious well water! I would definitely stay here again!
I had no idea that this was a blueberry farm until I arrived (probably should have read the description better). This was supposed to be a convenient overnight stop for a long roadtrip, but ended up being the highlight of my week. A beautiful property, and really peaceful private camp area next to a creek, great warm welcoming hosts. Best memory is walking around during twilight bird watching and picking blueberries straight off the branches.

It was our pleasure and delight to have you Shaun! We felt you really connected with our little blueberry farm. Hope you enjoyed the blueberry lime jam!.
This place was perfect. Already planning our return.

Sounds good to me! Highest recommendation we can get is for somebody to return. Thanks, Valerie
Beautiful and picturesque, Valerie is a great host and the site was super safe and beautiful! Love that is was next to all the blueberries!
It’s a little close to highway 99, so it isn’t remote but the sounds from the highway aren’t very loud.
All in all, would definitely recommend and I’ll certainly be back!

So very glad that your escape to Bear Hollow was a success. Look forward to your return.
What a beautiful setting! I needed a couple of days away to relax and recharge. This was the perfect spot. The hosts were extremely helpful, while still respecting my need for privacy. I had everything I would need and will definitely look at coming back in the future.

Aaron was a great guest here at Bear Hollow and seemed really enjoy the privacy and seclusion. Would love to have him back anytime.
Beautiful location, great for a night to get away from the madness going on! Only slight downside is you can hear the traffic from the highway but the site is beautiful, private and the host is extremely kind
A great first hipcamp experience! Easy access to a large, cool, shaded spot. A peaceful vibe with a kind + courteous host. Blueberries + blackberries were a sweet bonus! Thank you!
The Bear’s property was nothing short of awesome. There was so much space and we had it all to ourselves. It was the perfect place to be during a pandemic because we were outdoors, no masks required once you’ve been shown your area, and the sun beamed down just perfect between the shady trees. My favorite parts were swinging on the tree swing while the cool breeze hit me and at night when we were able to hear the creek running just loud enough to help me sleep. I can’t wait to come back with more family. Thank you Valérie and Husband for sharing your beautiful land with us.

Thanks Susie, you and Tom were definitely the best first time hip campers we could have had. Thanks for your help and understanding and guidance. We hope to see you again in the near future.
