Once occupied by a local organized crime group who used it for a Chop Shop operation among other things. This area is unique because in the winter Lake Labish which is directly behind us, is actually a Lake. In the Spring and Summer it dries up and is used to grow onions. It is said to be some of the richest soil in the country. Only 3 miles east of I-5 at the Brooks exit yet it is often so quiet you can almost hear a pin drop. At night the silence is disrupted only by the croaking of a frog

Tranquility Camping

We camped here three days to observe Totality during the Eclipse. Had a great time! Host responded quickly to a message before we arrived. Nice farmland area, nice level area in large yard, camp on cut short, dried grass(no dirt in the tent!). Host had friendly caretaker check on all the campers everyday and promptly took care of any requests. Vastly appreciated the access to use shower in the main house! Gentle breezes cooled the camp through most of the day. Sunny area, no trees for shade, so bring some kind of shelter from the sun. I would camp here again for local events! Definitely recommend it!
