We need nature to keep ourselves in balance. From eagles, to a herd of LongHorns, to the river soothing your senses we found ourselves in an unspoiled environment giving ourselves that moment to regroup!
So many eco-systems to be a part of and explore; from the ocean to the forest, truly an experience for everyone!
Gracious and kind our hosts Robert and Carmen are true gems who have offered a campsite next to the river on their farm, for all of us to step out of our existence into a touch of theirs. Thank you for sharing with us! Truly feel reset into a positive direction!
This place is great! Bob and Carmen (and their dog Gracie) were great hosts, checked in on us a couple times. The toilet/shower area is a plus, and they provided us with plenty of firewood. The camping area is right next to the river, which was very peaceful. Good fishing too, we got a few trout! Nice large fire pit, easy to social distance if you're going with another couple. We had two tents, 4 people, and plenty of room. FYI, this is a working ranch, so there might be some work happening during the days. This didn't bother us at all. Also, there is a small cabin directly next to the camping area that is also for rent, so if there are people at the cabin too you'll be sharing a bathroom. The cabin and the campsites are pretty close by, but the cabin has their own fire pit, and the camping/cabin are the only sites, so you still have plenty of space. Short drive to Tilamook and the ocean, but we were also happy to just hang around the campground. We're going to try to make it back sometime soon, had a great time.
Amazing! Robert and Carmen’s property is a little slice of camping heaven. It was way more than what we expected from the pictures. Right on the river and a ton of extra amenities. Great views. Tons of space. Perfect for both small and large groups. We were excited to find when we pulled up that Robert and Carmen have a beautiful herd of longhorn cattle right next to camp. Robert, Carmen and their dog Millie stopped by to welcome us soon after arrival but after that it’s all yours. Only a short distance to town and only 20mins to the beach. We’re grateful that Robert and Carmen have decided to share their beautiful property. I hope that everyone who decides to stay takes good care of it so that it will be available for years to come. We booked another trip before even we left. Looking forward to our next stay.

We had a great time at Roberts river getaway. Robert gave us great directions. Clean spot to stay! We had fun playing horse shoes as the sun went down. Would and will be staying again soon.

This is a lovely spot with the river on one side and a pasture of Texas Longhorns in the other. Robert and Carmen were very accommodating. If you want full privacy rent out the cabin and the camp spot! Totally worth it!
What a peacful little gem this is. So close to town and beaches, but far removed from the crowds. The sites are nestled under big trees and right next to the Trask River, offering water, toilet and hot shower. I loved photographing the longhorns and horses, which are just yards away. Book it now, before the secret gets out!

Beautiful site. Bob and Carmen were great. We enjoyed learning about the Longhorns and the hot shower a bonus!
Robert and his family were incredible hosts with a lovely property. They gave us a rundown of our camp site and had many amenities for our time there. Situated a short walk to the river and with plenty of shade on hand it was a perfect spot to escape the city for a bit. Robert even came and chatted about his longhorns with us teaching us so much about the animal friends we were staying next to. Highly recommend!
