We are a working black angus cattle ranch in the Willamette Valley. Our neighbors include wineries, vineyards and commercial farms. We've been at the property for 22 years and would love to share it with you! The bunkhouse in nestled in the middle of a 115 acre pasture, surrounded by timber. As a "working" ranch, you will be sharing this space with the herd. They may be curious about you, but will not bother you. You can find us on Facebook at FlyingFRanch or on Instagram at the_flying_f_ranch_orOne room 16’x20’ cabin with wood stove and beautiful view on a working black Angus cattle ranch in the heart of wine country in Polk county Oregon. Gravel road to the cabin, very private in the center of 200 acres.

The Flying F Ranch Bunkhouse
Our second time staying at the bunkhouse. Awesome, as always. A fun way to spend a winter night with the family and our dog. Thanks for the meat, Brent!

The Flying F Ranch Bunkhouse
The bunkhouse is cozy and comfy. The sleeping cots were great and also had a little mattress topper that makes them extra comfy. The wood stove heats up the cabin well. Our dogs were very comfortable and loved all the room to run! Generator works well and is easy to use. Host directions were very clear and everything was easy to access. The property is very private and quiet. We went to escape the NYE fireworks and only heard very distant booms. Would definitely stay again 10/10

The Flying F Ranch Bunkhouse
Gorgeous views and cozy!
We were looking for a place to stay in the Salem area when making a visit to Willamette University with our son, where we could also bring our dog. The bunkhouse was the perfect place, especially in fall with cooler and wet weather. The wood-burning stove kept us warm, and the generator had plenty of fuel for electricity for lights and microwave. Despite the listing saying no picnic table (because technically there isn’t one outside), there is a full-size dining table and chairs, along with additional folding canvass chairs for plenty of seating. Additionally, there is a stainless counter area housing the microwave and some additional cleaning supplies and lanterns, which made for the perfect spot for a camp stove. Because you’re on a working ranch, there are cattle gates to access the road up to the bunkhouse. I would recommend good footwear if you’re coming during the rainy season as the mud can be slick. I would also recommend a headlamp for using the pit toilet in the dark, which was well-maintained and not stinky at all. Brent was great about communicating! Our GPS tried taking us to his neighbors driveway, which we thought might be an unmarked road, so it’s good to note that the cross street listed in the directions provided by Hipcamp and Brent is clearly marked with a traditional green street sign, and the house for check-in is right on the corner as described. Our visit was a short one, but we would definitely love to come back again during the summer.

My wife and I (and pup) had an amazing, relaxing time at the bunkhouse. We will definitely be back again.
