Lake,-woods HideAway @Bull Frog Bay
A secluded site among towering fir trees, just steps from a fresh water lake. There is swimming and fishing from my dock and float. You might enjoy using my kayaks ( two included with nightly booking) to explore the lake especially at sunset and early morning before the wind picks up. There is excellent fishing for large mouth bass from my dock or bring a small boat to fish

Suzy was an absolute pleasure. Her property is quite special. The fresh eggs for breakfast, huckleberries in our pancakes and the private lake and dock access sublime.
We had a lovely stay here. Very private, friendly host. Chickens and huckleberries and a morning swim in the lake!
We were intrigued by Suzy's because of the option to get out on the lake. Being a small, private lake, it was quite serene. Our favorites times for kayaking and swimming were dusk and dawn. As described, the spot is an outcropping of the driveway leading to her house. Chairs, electric and water were great perks. We enjoyed interacting with Suzy too, who is very pleasant and leads a very active/interesting life!
Suzy’s place is literally a treasure to discover- little slice of OR coastal heaven- a forest camp site, sweet lake swimming, great walk in the woods and to the sand dunes nearby, delicious blueberry muffins, Suzy’s welcoming spirit! Really- our first Hipcamp experience couldn’t have been better!
Suzy was a gracious host and we enjoyed our stay at Bullfrog Bay. We especially enjoyed the warm muffins in the morning and hanging out on the dock!
It was so nice to stay at Mrs McDonald’s private and beautiful location. Quite a gem. We have a 27ft RV and it fit perfectly in the reserved spot. We had so much fun swimming and kayaking in the lake. We also went on an easy hike to lost lake and it was beautiful and very peaceful.
We had the chance to eat some of our hostess wonderful pie (we choose peach) and blueberry muffins.
Delicious! We enjoyed it so much.
I hat to share this gem, but it is a slice of heaven for those who love getting away from the busyness and get back to nature. Suzy is wonderful. She is so welcoming; having a natural balance of hospitality and space while sharing her beautiful setting and life stories! The early morning fishing with my daughter created many memories, the swims of the docks, kayaking and just walking the trails. Not to mention her delicious homemade peach pie and on-going huckleberries from the surrounding bushes!! Your gift in sharing all of that was the highlight of our trip to Oregon and was the space needed for our family reset.
Thank you again dearly Suzy for opening up this spot and sharing your wonderful world! We hope to make this an annual trip/stop.

Wow, you are so kind. I am glad that My sharing has brightened your vacation. It is special here and i find myself thanking my grandmother for buying this place and my parents for keeping it and passing it on. Perhaps a blessing from theses strange times is that i was inspired to have just one spot I could share..Thank you for coming.
This was a VERY sweet spot! Beautiful, tranquil, remote but close access to beaches, trails, etc. No need to go anywhere though; the lake and surrounding area w/kayaks, two docks, and swimming are all you need.
SUZY is thee best host! The property itself is enough, and Suzy is the icing on the cake. She is very friendly and personable, giving you the right amount of engagement and privacy. I highly recommend ordering one of her pies!! She also has fresh canned tuna, jams and muffins to purchase. Perfect getaway. I’m so glad we discovered the great retreat.

Thank you very much for your kind words. You were a wonderful guest, fun to visit with but not needing much direction. So happy you got the rest and relaxation you needed.
Suzy is a wonderful and accommodating host. This site is listed for RV’s, but I contacted Suzy to see if we could tent camp there as we have our own portable toilet and she said yes. We’re glad she did! The site is clean and close to the lake. The site is behind Suzys house and the lake is in front...it’s literally maybe a 2 minute walk. Suzy has kayaks for rent that we used all day. It’s just beautiful.
