Relax and unwind in our custom built, one-of-kind cabin. The cabin is nestled up on a forested hill above our main cabin. It's sits on 4 acres of private wooded land, bordering Mt. Hood National Forest Land. A perfect getaway for couples looking to spend a romantic weekend in the woods or a home-base for those who are here to enjoy everything Mt. Hood has to offer. Hiking, fishing, skiing are only minutes away!

The Space:

Carefully curated and thoughtfully designed, this little cabin is decorated with art and furniture from local artisans. The cabin has an open floor plan with an extra cozy sleeping loft equipped with a queen sized bed, comfy reading chair and a TV for watching movies. The living room has a comfortable plush sofa and perfect views while lounging by the wood-burning stove. The kitchenette offers you everything you need to dine-in — an electric oven/range, toaster, and coffee maker. The outside space features a large outdoor fire pit with beautiful views of the forest and ZigZag mountain.

For groups with three guests -- additional linens, pillows and blankets will be provided upon request for the sofa (not a pull-out, but comfy to sleep on -- great option for those traveling with children). Also, in the summer months, there is plenty of room to pitch a tent outdoors.

There are several lakes, rivers and hikes just a short drive away. We are less than 1 mile from the ZigZag and Sandy Rivers. The Salmon River Trail is one of my favorite hikes and it's only few miles down the road (it's also great spot for fishing, too). There are tons of hikes within a few miles and we are located right near the ZigZag Ranger Station where you can pick up free trail maps and get recommendations from the rangers of the best options for your daily adventure.

We are very close to all your winter adventures -- skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing sledding and snow tubing. Ski Bowl only a short 10-15 minute drive down Highway 26 and Mt. Hood Meadows and Timberline Lodge are both about a 20-25 minute drive.

If you are feeling up for a round of Golf, you can play 27 scenic holes of golf at the Resort at the Mountain or take a few hours to relax and rejuvenate at their full-service Spa.

The Thriftway grocery store is just a mile down the road and there are also a handful of great restaurants nearby. Just across the highway is the Skyway Bar and Grill, well known for their tasty BBQ and Mac and Cheese -- they also have live music two or three times a week.

Other things to note:

***Please note -- The drive up from the road to the cabin is steep. You WILL need an AWD  or 4WD to get to the top in a vehicle (we have a VW Tiguan and make it up fine). If you have a 2WD car, there will be a cargo sled to haul your belongings up the hill. It's approximately 200 ft. from the road.

**We will provide wood for one night. Additional wood can be purchased at the Thriftway or Mt. Hood Grocery,  both are one mile down the road.

*There is a steep loft ladder that leads to the bedroom. Not recommended for those who have trouble climbing.

Guest interaction:

We live on the adjacent property, so we are there if you need us - otherwise you'll enjoy your privacy.

We laughed at how preposterously good everything was. Like we were living in some fantasy Instagram world.

Very private, clean and pretty. Even had coffee and chocolates. Great firepit and the cabin stayed cool due to all the surrounding trees. Nice quiet escape. Also close to stores and Mt hood.

How many ways can one say amazing? This little cabin is beautifully constructed, every detail thoughtful and intentional. The energy in the space was welcoming and safe and my partner and I had a wonderful time connecting with each other. The proximity to so many hiking/fishing/outdoor ventures is a huge plus. Susan is an exceptional host and is super responsive (I had a lot of questions!). We can't wait to come back!!

This elegant and cozy cabin was the perfect romantic getaway for my partner and I. The velveteen furniture, artisan blankets, eclectic and thoughtfully curated artwork, uber-comfortable nest-like bed and creative lighting options were just the beginning - we were stunned to discover an infrared BBQ, dishwasher, garbage disposal and washer/dryer combo too!
The front porch was a great place to sit in the early evenings and the firepit the ideal place to be later on, sitting and talking, star-gazing, reconnecting to the natural world.
Cabin is in amazing location -- very close to Mt Hood trails, mt biking, Salmon River swimming and lots of great breweries and restaurants. Highly recommended!

The cabin was perfect for just the two of us. Easy to get to, felt very secluded, and the property is right next to public land. Experience was even better than expected!
