We are a small working sheep farm. We also have professional jobs (which support the farm). Since this is a working farm, it isn't always beautiful. There are machines, fire wood, compost, chickens running about, and sheep bawling for food. It is a lovely place with great views of Mt. Hood and the stars at night. This region is often windy, hot, dry and brown in the summer.

Great during the fall and spring. Cold and snowy during the winter months. We border the Warm Springs Reservation to the south, Mt. Hood National Forest to the west, White River Game Management to the north, and the scenic Deschutes River to the east. There are numerous hiking trails within a 30 minute drive. Shearers Falls and White River Falls are local attractions. The community of Maupin is small and quaint. There are opportunities to hunt and fish in the area if desired. We are 40 minutes from winter skiing on Mt. Hood. We also run a seasonal BBQ catering business. If we know ahead of time, we can plan to cook up a BBQ spread to share. We normally have fresh eggs, frozen BBQ, and fall lamb available for purchase. We also make rustic furniture and misc. household items from the wood we mill on site.

We ask that guests try to arrive before 5PM. Our day starts very early and we try to close up the place in the early evening.
