Peaceful, beautiful, walk in sites that are separated by dense understory. Sites are away from the house, so they’re private. Karen is a very generous host, offering her bathroom for guests, plus coffee, tea and fresh blueberries from the garden.

The tent sites were very private, quiet, and beautiful. All of them were a 5-10 minute walk from the car. Karen did a great job making the house (bathroom) accessible, but it is still a shared space with the other campers and Karen’s family.

Karens place is an oasis and she is a very friendly and helpful host. Our camp site was private and convenient. We could even pick blueberries for our breakfast. Our dogs could explore the whole area.

The campsites are about a mile from the ocean and the property lines the national forest. It is a beautiful spot in the forest. When fires are allowed there is a nice communal campfire area. The toilet is shared by all campers and house members. It is located in the house which is open to guests at all hours. They have potable water available outside. The host, Karen, is knowledgeable and friendly.

Coming down from the west coast we thought it would be nice to have an overnight stop at the beautiful Oregon coast but finding a place to stay was a nearly impossible task! Luckily we found Karen’s camp! She got back to us so quickly and communicating with her was so easy. Her property is huge and offers a lot of places to explore! You can pick from different camping spots they cleared in the woods so you have a very private spot. If you like to be social you can sit around a communal fire pit or use the picnic tables there. We only stayed for one night but i can see how you can spend more time at Karen’s exploring the area. Karen is such a friendly host, opening her house to her guests. She even makes you a coffee in the morning.

Karen's place was perfect for our short overnight stay. She was able to accommodate our need to be closer to our car and not have to haul our tent and belongings to the campsites that are farther out. Very hospitable, clean, quiet space. Lovely trees and a pair of bald eagles circling overhead. A pot of coffee and homemade muffins in the morning completed the stay.

The camp sites at Karen’s are ethereal! You will set your tent up on hundreds of years of pine needles, and moss from the trees. The tree canopy is beautiful, and the animal runs through the property are fun; they are like a maze to figure out. Karen and her sons are great hosts. We are grateful we stayed in a slice of paradise.

Had an amazing stay here! My brother and I pitched hammock tents in one of the many beautiful spots surrounded by forest. The coast was only minutes away.
Karen opened her home to us and the other campers. She was extremely helpful with local recommendations and began a communal fire the second night, which we and other campers gathered around got to know each other.
Wonderful place to camp with privacy, or to meet fellow friendly travelers, whatever your preference.
Thanks for the experience! Look forward to returning when we’re back in the area!

Karen’s place was a million times above what I could have dreamed of. Karen and her sons were so inviting and friendly the entire time, we were greeted immediately like family and had a personal tour of the property showing us ample camping spaces to choose to our liking. All the other guests were great to meet as well and having a community fire at night was the icing on the cake of this opportunity.
We stayed two nights as tourists exploring the local area and Karen made herself so readily available, only a text away to get a locals insight on where to go and what to do.
I would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone I’ve ever met. The hospitality was shockingly a once in a life time experience, until I go back to Karen’s again which I absolutely will!

My family and I had a great 1st camping trip at Rock’n K Ranch. Beautiful trails, beach access, trees, wildlife, and lovely sounds of the ocean waves. The beauty doesn’t ends there... We absolutely loved all the natural beauty around the Rock’n K Ranch. Karen the host exceeded our expectations that’s for sure, she was so accommodating and helpful. She gave us a tour of the property and answered all of our questions. She also gave us some good recommendations for local food, drinks and a cool secret beach access.
The campsite was great, we decided to get a total of two campsites since we had two of our dogs and three teenagers. It’s sure was spacious, beautiful and a tranquil stay. There’s trees if you have a hammock, and honestly to me the parking spots are close to the campsite. I’ve being hip-camping since 2018 in California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. I have three hipcamps that I absolutely love, and Rock’n K Ranch is one of them. She is so thoughtful and considerate of her hipcampers, you’ll have access to her beautiful home for a morning cup of hot coffee, the restroom necessities or a hot shower. My husband is shy when we first drive up to a hipcamp, but not this time because Karen at Rock’n K Ranch makes you feel so comfortable that you forget it’s hipcamping instead of visiting with a friend.
Will be happily returning for sure, with and without the family. I’ll be coming to Rock’n K Ranch for my Karen time and Vitamin Sea.
Karen and I had some great conversations while drinking some coffee. If you get a chance to chat with Karen over coffee DO IT, she’s great. My teenagers really loved that the property was close to the beach access. You can literally hear the ocean from the campsite or while walking the property trails. Our two doggies loved it too.
I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO COMING BACK SOONER THAN SOON. Thank you so much to Karen for such a great stay.

Karen was an excellent host! My family and I went out to yachats thinking we would have an easy time finding a first come first serve campsite---wow we were wrong. I found Karen's place in a pinch and felt incredibly lucky with how quickly she got back to me. Karen not only shares her beautiful property with everyone, but she also opens up her own home! Karen let's her campers use the bathroom, kitchen, and playroom in her home. Karen puts a lot of thought into where to place her campers--she wants us all to have a wonderful camping experience. She has several areas on her property to choose from, each with their own sense of whimsy. There was this one spot that had me feel like I was I stepping into the Shire--I couldn't believe places like this existed! At one end of her property she has a communal fire pit, chairs, and a picnic table which opens up the opportunity to meeting new people. After spending the night enjoying the outdoors, Karen has coffee already made for everyone to enjoy
It was truly a pleasure to stay here and we will definitely come back!!

We loved Karen’s place! We only spent one night here, but I’d highly recommend it. Only five minutes from the coastal highway, the spot was easy to find. We arrived late, but Karen was very responsive to all of my texts. Because we were late we only had our pick of two campsites but the one we chose was actually perfect! We had to hike our stuff in (only a 1-2 minute walk) but the tree lines path was one out of a movie. Karen weaved us through the labyrinth of trees showing us all the cool places people can camp and explore. Our spot was just a five minute walk from the house and we could park just outside of the spot. We just had to haul our stuff down the path a bit. The actual spot was beautiful. An opening in the dense forest surrounded by trees. We were literally circled by trees. The only knock on our site was how dusty everything was and how bumpy the terrain was. We were filth from setting up camp and had to clean our feet extensively before getting into our tent. There was also only one spot for our tent because everything else was either too slanted or bumpy. The morning sun beamed through the trees which added to the magical feeling. Coffee supplied by Karen was also a nice touch. I would say the spot would benefit from a little maintenance to make it flatter, but it was otherwise perfect. I would highly recommend staying here. I only wish we could have stayed longer to have the opportunity to explore more.

Beautiful and serene. Karen has many sites to choose from. If you want privacy, the ravine spot can't be beat. We stayed just one night on our way up north. Wish we could have stayed a couple more days. Very close to many hiking trails and amazing beaches.

Ocean waves and frogs sing you to sleep, among fun forest trails and nearby campfire circles. This peaceful oasis is within walking distance to Driftwood Beach, which seems to go on forever.
The tent/yurts have super comfy memory foam mattresses and cheery candles. Karen is a great hostess, offering a shower, tub, flush toilet, outdoor decks, and fresh coffee in the morning. This is a magical place to explore and relax.

Excellent spot on the coast! A stone's throw away (somehow you don't get that impression on Google Maps). Karen was so welcoming to my family, provided constant entertainment for my kids, opened her home for showers, water, and early morning coffee, and list goes on... Karen has an incredible story and it was great to share special moments from our pasts. I highly recommend this camp and its amazing nooks and crannies in the coastal wilderness!

Karen was very sweet and welcoming, but this site didn’t quite live up to expectations given the price. First, communication issues: we planned to arrive late due to our travel schedule (usually not an issue), and received a text from Karen around 7:30pm telling us check-in ended at 7pm—not communicated anywhere in email, text, or the trip page on Hipcamp. Then, upon arriving she gave us a quick tour but informed us we’d need to set up camp in the yard, rather in the woods, so as not to disturb other campers (which in principle is fine, but it was 9:30pm and it wasn’t clear to us exactly how we might disturb them).
It also turned out that the sole toilet available to campers was also out of commission when we arrived—not a problem for us, thankfully, but not something you want to hear when you first arrive for the night, and not what we were expecting for the price.
Finally, in the morning (~8:30am) our host was nowhere to be found with no communication to us, and other campers were noisily trotting around right by our tent. We found out from another camper she had to take her dog to the vet (which we totally empathize with, being dog owners and lovers), but a note or some kind of communication via text would have been helpful so we understood check-our procedure, etc.
All in all, again, Karen was really lovely, but the experience just didn’t meet our expectations for the price of the campsite. We’re hoping some of these communication wrinkles get ironed out for future campers, as it’s a lovely spot in the world!

We camped in our van next to the pond and it was nice and quiet and private. The only sound was some very enthusiastic frogs! Karen was very welcoming and her house was a nice little spot- morning coffee was great! We appreciated being able to let the dogs do some exploration and wandering around on the forest trails. Very nice break from the RV parks!

Awesome land & host. Attentive to guests and current social distance rules and guidelines. Great to have a coffee in the morning and use the wifi and porch before setting off on a days adventure.

Karen is sweet, and she could turn her property into a great camping option at the coast, but there's a lot of work to be done at this point. First, there is one water source and one single bathroom and shower for up to 60 people camping on site. Second, only one of her sites has a picnic table, and the only place you can make a fire is in the big group area in her backyard, or a dirt parking lot.
Not wanting to camp in the group area (with the water and easy access to the house) we chose a wooded site, that we could get our car sort of close to (like 40 yards away--a long way to lug your gear, and not really car camping). These sites are secluded, but very small and not at all flat, meaning we could put up our family tent on a bumpy slope, and not much else. With no table and not much room, we gave up trying to cook there.
The property is a diamond in the rough, and Karen directed us to a secret beach nearby which was one of the best we've visited on the Oregon Coast. I'd keep tabs on this one, and maybe come back when the problems are solved.

Be Aware! You won't want to leave this camp! Karen's place is quiet, private, and great for dogs! My daughter and I camped in her yard and it was such a great experience! Karen has lots of advice to share about little known places to visit in the area and is welcoming and super friendly. Coffee on her deck was an unexpected bonus. The place was easy to find and many campsites to choose from. We had a great time and will definately be back.
