Lovely overnight trip!!
We just stayed the night at Neil's and it was a great experience! The hosts were incredibly nice and accomodating. The property is gorgeous! We stayed at the site on the grass and it was perfect. There is a trail to the river, which was fine going down but a little rough on the way up (I'm also quite out of shape)! We will definitely be back to visit, hopefully sooner than later!!
Shangri la on the clackamas
Wow! One night out of the big city, staying on Neil and Michelle’s property, re-charged our Family battery direction sure. The site is beautifully situated above the Clackamas. It’s clear that the hosts have poured their hearts and souls into creating an oasis for visitors to share and love. Beyond hospitable, they let our boys help feed the fish in the pond, made a big campfire, shared fantastic conversation until the late hours of the night, we felt like part of the family. Socially distant, of course! If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind spot that’s close to Portland but a world away, check out River’s Edge. You won’t be disappointed!
Great hosts and beautiful propery
The camp hosts, Neil and Michelle, are absolutely amazing!!! They respected your space, but were also extremely kind and thoughtful and willing to help in anyway they could. The property itself is beautiful and right on the river. There are actually several “sites” you can book on this property, and our favorite would be the “walk up tent” site due to the large grassy area for games and activities, having a private campfire area with seating and a picnic table, and a great view of the river. The covered communal space was also a great option. We would absolutely come back and can’t say enough about the generous hospitality of Neil and Michelle!
Very cozy camp site!
Very nice site! quite and comfortable. The host was very available and helped whenever we needed anything. I recommend for anyone with or without kids. We will for sure go back again!
What a beautiful area to camp. The host Neil was extremely nice and very helpful. Extremely peaceful and clean.
Only thing that was kind of a bummer was we wanted a little bit more privacy.
A camping b&b right on the river!
This place is a camping gem! The walk up tent site is large, on lush grass, gets great sunlight, right on the river - the sound of the water makes for great tent sleeping. The drive-in site is in the center of the property close to the shared pavilion and large open fire pit. The hosts are the most amazing people. Think of it as a camping B&B!
Has potential. not for small kids.
This place has potential but undeniably still "under construction". Would not recommend if you have small children as there are steep drop offs adjacent to the campsite that were a constant source of stress. We are no strangers to hiking on rocks near water and such, yet the trail to the river did not feel safe for my children. I think this place would be fine for grownups and maybe even for kids down the road once things are more complete. Also I was surprised at how close the site was to the host's house. Not what we had in mind.
