A lovely getaway
We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 kids (3 and 20 months old), our first foray into camping as a family of 4. The RV was ideal for us as it did rain. Our kids slept fine with a fan (provided by Michelle) for white noise and to cool the place down (AC was not working). The site overlooks the water which is amazing, has woodchips which helped keep it pretty clean but the other roads were quite muddy. We weren't able to navigate the trail down to the water with our 2 kids due to the recent rain but other unencumbered campers seemed to do fine. Overlooking the river was beautiful but it could be risky if you weren't paying close attention to your kids (there was a small fence but it came up to my knee). We enjoyed the shower, the bed, the propane fireplace and a wood fire too!
Beautiful, clean, and great hosts
The camper was immaculately clean and very roomy. It's in excellent condition. The surrounding forest was lush and green and it sits about 100yards above the river. We did not anticipate having 3 tents within 30 feet of the camper or another 5th wheel on the property. The group of tents stayed awake laughing and talking to about 1am. It was not very quiet or isolated. However,it did have every amenity for glamping, the hosts were very friendly, and the rest of the grounds were beautiful.
Peaceful forest/river getaway
Our family loved this getaway! Neil was a friendly and accomodating host and made sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. We stayed in the onsite RV which was super clean and spacious enough for our crew - 2 adults, 4 kids. There are a couple of tent sites on the property as well, but we felt like we had our own space and privacy. Loved being able to sit in the adirondack chairs right outside the RV and watch the sunrise with the peaceful sounds of the river and forest. Short, although steep, hike down to the river. The hosts have done a great job of putting in handrails and steps to help get up and down the trail. We'll definitely be back!
