Our stay at the Rainshadow farm was great! Clean and private canvas tent on platform with sitting area on porch. Access to outdoor kitchen which is fully equipped for all cooking needs. Very friendly people on the property. Beautiful farm land. Tent is next to chickens, turkeys, roosters etc, so if you like to sleep in this may not be your spot, however it was perfect for us early risers. 20-30 mins from Smith making it the perfect cozy spot to come back to after a day of climbing. Also close by the river with a swimming hole for a nice natural bath :)
Highly recommend staying here! Hopefully we will be back !
Our stay at Rainshadow Organics was wonderful! The canvas tent was nice and roomy, and we loved being among the beautiful farm. Their farm to table meals were delicious. The location was great, and not far from Bend. During our stay we went mountain biking on nearby trails and hung out in Bend. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!

First and most importantly: The bed in the tent is a real bed, with hotel quality pillows. There's also a rocking chair in the tent, and guide books for the area, and solar-powered string lights. In fact, this tent might be more comfortable than my home.
I added a Friday evening wine dinner and Sunday brunch to my stay. Both involve generous portions of literal farm-to-table food: they grow the grains they make the bread with, they milk the cows for the cream and the cheese, the salads have the freshest greens...you get it. The hosts also offered to create breakfast or dinner meal kits for me if I wanted them during the stay. I added a Saturday morning breakfast kit, and was delighted with hard boiled eggs from the chickens I'd met, granola, blackberries, and fresh raw milk from the farm.
Have I talked about the food enough? Everyone I met was super nice, from the hosts, to the farm interns, to the guests at the farm store meals. I felt at home, away from home.
And I definitely recommend the local swimming hole.

Definitely recommend! Tent was new and clean. Comfy bed. Hosts were very welcoming. Sunday brunch was fantastic!!
Property was exactly as described and more than what I expected! Thoughtfully chosen furnishings, really comfortable linens, and the surroundings of the farm and desert all around. I really wish we could have partaken in the farm to table meals, as they look amazing, but next time!
Our stay was incredible. The tent is lovely and set up with a queen bed with perfect linens, a comfortable chairs and side tables. It was fun to wake up to the roosters, turkeys and cows. We partook in the farm to table dinner which was a great experience to eat the food grown on the farm, meet the community and dine in the middle of the vegetable fields. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality and generosity to share the farm.
We loved staying the weekend at the Rainshadow organic farm! The wood fired pizza’s were amazing. The farm store is beautiful! We enjoyed our whole experience, will definitely be back🥰
Staying at Rainshadow Organics was a great experience. The farm is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. For those looking for easy access to Sisters and Bend who don't want to "rough" it completely (flush toilets, running water, privacy but cell service), I would highly recommend this location! I hope to go back for one of their farm-to-table hosted dinners or wood-fire pizza nights! Oh - and definitely inquire about the fresh breakfast!
