The vibe at Oregon Desert Stars
Places to see near Rabbit Dance Ranch
Our stay at Oregon Desert Stars was fantastic. Carissa was very welcoming with her two large dogs (they were so sweet). She showed us around the property and we chose a great spot to pitch our tent. Enough room for several RVs, water and electric hookup too. The night sky was beautiful and we were serenaded by the pack of coyotes in the distance.

Carissa was such a welcoming host! It was interesting to see the hard work she has pyt into her home! The camp site was peaceful and secluded - except for the occasional greeting from one of her dogs, Buck. The porta-potty was very clean and the water was a welcomed benefit! We had such a great time shooting our guns, letting our dog explore, and listening to the coyotes!
We had a great time. If you want somewhere away from it all, this is the place for you. The host was so nice and accommodating.
Carissa was awesome! She showed us where everything was on site, and even gave us some recommendations on what to do around town. Her dogs were also super friendly and would come say hi every once in a while.
This place is amazing, the sunset and stars at night were out insane. It's a nice quiet place to get away. I would definitely come back!
Good things:
It was super quiet. The stars were amazing! Cleanest port-a-potty I've seen! Host was very accommodating when we needed to problem solve.
Bad things:
Didn't find out until we were on the way there the site is completely off grid, and they didn't have enough solar panels to support our trailer, and we didn't bring a generator. Not the best set up for trailers or RV's. Better suited for tent camping.
It is the middle of nowhere! Which is nice, Carissa is really nice. The ground is super soft and the sky goes on for days! Beautiful spot.
