Hi! We have a little homestead in the Willamette Valley and are offering it up to one lucky group of campers for the upcoming eclipse! You will be the only people allowed to camp on our 8 acre homestead farm. Our little farm has beautiful open wide views, amazing star gazing, and sits in a valley nestled in the foothills of the coast range. The best part: we are dead center in the path of totality. Smack dab in the middle. We have full sun views and, as long as it is not cloudy, you will have a full unobstructed view of this once in a lifetime event! We are located at the end of the Applegate Trail in Wine Country, 1 hour and 15 minutes southwest of Portland between Salem and the beach.

For an event lasting only 2 minutes, every second counts! Our property will feature a total eclipse lasting 1 minute and 59 seconds! We have ISO certified viewing glasses for you and your group, included in your stay. Don't shell out for a campsite that only offers 30 to 60 seconds of eclipse time. Our location is perfect for eclipse viewing, but it is also pretty easy to get to compared to Eastern Oregon campsites. Many sites are three to six hours from I-5, with normal traffic. Gridlock is supposed to reach epic proportions on these small roads in eastern Oregon as a million visitors hit the road. Head West instead! Our farm is only 30 minutes west of I-5, and 10 minutes west of 99W! We are about an hour from Hwy 101 on the coast as well. There are many options for reaching our location! This would be perfect for families with small children who can't spend too long in the car, or people looking to take Hwy 101 to Oregon instead of I-5.

If you are into astronomy, you can come early and also see the Perseid meteor shower (peak date August 11 and 12, but runs until August 24)! Historic weather data shows there is a 70% chance of clear skies at our property on August 21st. Forecast is currently sunny!

Amenities include a portable toilet, picnic table, water, electricity, garbage service, and more. Our place even has wi-fi! Though we are out in the country, multiple carriers have LTE and 4G service as well. AT&T has very good reception and LTE on our property. Because you will be our only guests, you will have a much better camping experience than booking in a place with hundreds of campers. That many people in one place will lead to gross or dangerous conditions. We will do everything we can to make sure you trip is great! Forget your camping chairs? Borrow ours! Need tarps, privacy screens, a new toothbrush? We got you covered!

Upon your arrival, you will get to choose your own camp site. Other than our garden area, you can camp anywhere! There is a grassy flat spot by the house that offers all of our available amenities, and has great shade. If you want a totally private camping experience, we have two acres behind a creek bed (dry by August) that is fully treed. You can't see any other houses behind the creek, it is a beautiful quiet spot that offers amazing bird watching. Each day we see blue herons, hawks, turkey vultures, and a number of sparrows and song birds. We also see bald eagles regularly because one of our neighbors has a two acre pond. After you choose your camp site, we will set up your table and other amenities. Then the fun begins! On Monday, we will be opening a double magnum of Block 15's 2013 Super Nebula to celebrate, so if you are a sour beer fan, you will be in the right place.

We are five minutes south of Dallas. The city of Dallas is having an eclipse party that has events spanning from the Friday before to the day of the eclipse, including a beer garden, disc golf tournament, food carts, and a Pink Floyd tribute band! We will be one of the first big cities to see this awesome event!
