The A frame cabin sits on the backside of my property. It is 12x16 feet. It has lights inside. The cabin is not insulated so bring blankets or a sleeping bag although in Summer it stays plenty warm inside. A fire ring is 15 ft in front of the cabin. Bring your own wood. We have a outdoor shower however the water is not heated(coming soon). An outside toilet is also sitting on the property and I am in the process of building a roof over it. We are sitting next to the highway so be aware you will hear cars. One mile down the road is Sauvie Island which is a bird watching and bicycling paradise. You can kayak on the island as well in Sturgeon lake as well as fish. The edge of the island is lined with Reeder beach and a nude beach called Collins beach. We are just 14 minutes from downtown Portland. You are also welcome to set up a tent out front of the cabin if your desire.

The vibe at Portland A Frame Cabin
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Located less than an hour from downtown Portland, the A Frame is a great place to escape to from the city. The Sauvie Island bridge is only a mile away, making this cabin perfect to use as a private basecamp to explore everything the Island has to offer throughout the year. The nearby towns of Saint Helens and Linnton also have restaurants, bars, a general store, and gas station to satisfy your needs.
The cabin itself is incredible -- both well built and designed. It includes minor amenities such as a small bed, some blankets, electricity, and lights. The floorspace is plenty big to lay out a handful of sleeping bags if you bring a group, and the front yard can also handle a tent. The property also includes a fire ring, picnic table, outdoor shower and outdoor toilet.
We had a blast staying at the A Frame and will definitely return soon!
