Great location - very close drive to Cannon Beach and beautiful Ecola State Park. Matthias was an excellent host and gave us pointers to a great beach that we wouldn’t have known to explore if it weren’t for his suggestion. There is a sweet little river that is fun to explore and our doggie loved it there!

We were lucky as there were only one other party staying there and so we enjoyed soothing solitude and a Camp spot closer to the river (recommend grabbing one of those, called “premium”).

The Porto Potty is clean and it’s value for what it is - as we learned there is very limited camping near Cannon.

Really enjoyed our stay. Will stay again!

Camping here was convenient because there’s typically no possibility of getting a last minute camp spot near Cannon Beach and we booked this just a couple days ahead. The river is beautiful. The spots don’t have any privacy because they are just set in the wide open in a large field but that didn’t bother us. Services are basic with an outhouse and running water being all there is, but that’s all we needed. The owner Amy is very nice and friendly. She had been gone with a relative watching the place for her, so the grasses hasn’t been cut down in our sIte so we had to flatten out a spot to camp, which wasnt ideal but we’re flexible. Only complaint is the fire pit area could be more put together in a way to encourage people to want to hang out. Maybe a bigger fire pit set up with nice chairs or something. We were the only ones besides the camp host who enjoyed the fire and the place was full of friendly campers who I talked with elsewhere.

Great spot, very close to Seaside. For some reason when you plug the address in, Google maps takes you to a random driveway about 10 miles up 26.

Just follow Amy's instructions instead of Google maps and you'll be fine.

This was a really nice experience, close to seaside (12 mins max to the beach turnaround) and comfortable. Amy and camp host Aaron were extremely helpful in getting us set up when we arrived well after dark. Having the river nearby is beautiful daytime or night. Highly recommended!

To my opinion it was not clean and our tent space was on uneven ground. No toilet paper either.

Amy and her husband were wonderful hosts!
The site was pleasant but not as private as we expected, no trees or any type of privacy between you and 6-10 other groups other than a little space (it was fully booked both nights we stayed). You are basically in a large backyard of Amy’s house, which is actually a really nice back yard! Sites are a mowed piece of land in the middle of a large grassy field, not all of them flat & even. We raked up the grass clippings from ours to create a little more space. You can hear highway 26 nearby and the hum of the electrical power lines through the night tho otherwise it is a very nice plot of land with a very nice vibe.

The offering of a communal fire pit was kind. The porta potty was convenient and clean. The outdoor sink was a bonus, no cleaning utensils offered for dishes but having it there was nicer than washing from your own stash of water out of the car. Only complaint was our site was not flat, and if we had 2 other people I don’t know how they could have fit a tent. Otherwise it was awesome that it was available last minute.

The site was too compacted and close to other campers. Two Shared “community” fire pits and had to purchase own firewood to share with others. Other guests were rude and unwilling and unwelcoming to share fire space which made it very uncomfortable. We left as soon as sun came up. Not worth the stay or money.

Thank you for the beautiful camping spot! We spent a relaxed night and morning and enjoyed the nature close to the river. It is very close to Cannon beach which was exactly what we were looking for. We can recommend to stay at Amy's and Matthias' anytime!
