We LOVED this site! My friends and I wanted to escape the crowds that usually accompany campgrounds over 4th of July weekend- and this place delivered! Tucked back by the river, we crossed a bridge to access our site and never saw a soul! The rushing river provided a beautiful backdrop to our peaceful weekend. If you are ok to go without any restrooms (wasn’t a problem for us) and willing to walk a bit to unload from your car- you will be rewarded with one of the most secluded stays in the area.
A beautiful campsite - very private - on a remote, historically interesting ranch. We had a spot on the river. A nice table for cooking. Some good hiking just on the ranch, plus all of the Wallowas close by. The hosts are really helpful. It's an unique place; we're happy we spent the money to camp. No cell service, which we absolutely loved.
We loved this site! It was beautiful and so private. Usually camp sites have you stacked in too of each other but we had plenty of our own space. The hosts were so nice. We ended up getting in much later than anticipated but they stayed in touch with us to make sure we got there ok and show us to our camp site. We'll definitely be going again.
Serenity on the River was the perfect spot for a relaxed get away. Our spot was nice and level, close to river for dipping our feet. We saw kingfishers and night hawks and deer. We loved the open meadow nearby and being able to walk along the dyke. Larry and Michelle were great. The property is very interesting with a lot of history. Next time we will do more exploring.
