Some friends and I were looking for a peaceful and private camping site close to water and this site exceeded our expectations! The campsite is close to the road, but still secluded, and right next to a beautiful river! We made delicious food with the awesome fire pit provided, and laid a blanket out on his front lawn to star gaze. Bill and his wife are very kind and accommodating, and supplied us with everything we needed for a wonderful nderful camping experience. Thanks Bill!
Beautiful site! The stream was perfect during the hot day to cool off in! Owners were awesome and were available to recommend places nearby to stock up on last minute supplies. Highly recommend for small gatherings.
Bill and Pam were amazing hosts!! I would recommend coming here to anyone whose looking for a nice spot to relax and just be. The site was gorgeous. I went to the Fair with my girlfriend and this campsite was the perfect place to go after and set up for the night. First off bring lots of wood to enjoy a fire. Second you must star gaze. This is not optional. The stars were absolutely breathtaking. Also there’s an incredible swimming hole a few minutes away from the site! This site and Bill and Pam are wonderful! This was my first experience camping and I fell in love with it. Also thanks for having such a magical place to camp out at. My girlfriend an I already want to go back :)
It was a beautiful place to camp, right next to the river and under a canopy of trees to always find shade. The field across the road was great for stargazing. And there is an awesome swimming hole just up the street from the campsite. It was also really nice to be able to have a camp fire at night. We were camped very close to a road, but the road is pretty private and doesn't get many cars on it throughout the day. All in all it was a great camp spot.
Bill and Pam were the most welcoming hosts! I love how much thought they put into the comfort of their campers. There is a nice composting toilet, a grill/fire pit, and water at each site. Just a short walk down the road leads to a sweet swimming hole in the creek. I would definitely recommend camping here!
First off... we can't wait to go back! This is where we celebrated my birthday weekend and I enjoyed every relaxing minute of it. From walking through the river, floating in my tube at the swimming hole, visiting the fish hatchery (also walking distance from campsite), grillin up dinner on the bbq/firepit provided and making s'mores. We ended the night star gazing in the field and falling asleep to the sounds of the running river.
What makes this place even more special are the people who created it. Bill and Pam are awesome! Thank you for making us feel comfortable during our stay. Until we meet again.
What a lovely spot! Access to the creek alone makes this camp amazing. We had two small kiddos with us and the swimming hole up the road was perfect for the August heat. Bill was a friendly host, the composting toilet was just as advertised (not stinky! even in the heat!), the view and wildlife were lovely, and it was very handy to have a fire grill and the chairs provided.
My only nitpick is that this site is quite close to a road. It's a not often used road, but it's worth noting. That said, we had a great time and would love to camp there again!
