We entered Lone Mountain Tipi Campground and checked in with Debbie at the office. She handed us some instructions and a map of the place, pointing out the amenities and a pristine swimming hole. The Tipi's are situated towards the far end of the campground with a porta potty, a communal washing sink area along with some camp sites for car campers. Our tipi had two full size beds, we used our sleeping bag on them but you could bring linens if you'd like. It does get warm at night but early morning a cool breeze comes through the opening of the tipi. The campground has a shower (15min hot shower for a couple of cents) and a laundry area. The site is also close to many fun activities, the caves are a must!
The TiPi was just as beautiful as pictured and the staff was super accommodating! We arrived well after dark, but they already prepped the propane tank and heat lamp for us inside, so we were able to get warm quickly. Really loved our stay and would definitely come back :)
Such a wonderful experience! Friendly, super helpful staff and owner, everyone was very kind and generous. Staying in the tipi was a lot of fun; cozy and clean! Quite a beautiful location. Thanks for helping us set up our campfire!
Do not stay here. Owners are rude and do not know what customer service is. They cussed at us multiple times and threatened to make us leave at 9:30pm over a miscommunication and misunderstanding. Made belittling comments and disrespectful remarks. Not worth the money.
Site was clean and staying in a tipi was exciting. Unfortunately, we got there late and had to leave early, so didn't get to enjoy the experience as much as we could have. We will be going back, with the idea of spending more nights there.
