Description

After a long slumber due to a forest fire in 2011, Cloud Cap Saddle Campground reopened its sky-scraping arms in August of 2014. Three sites at an elevation of 5900 feet give you a spectacular view of the lands, and also access to the Timberline National Historic Trail #600 and Tilly Jane Trail #600A from the north. That rad lodge you can see up the road? That’s the historic Cloud Cap Inn, now used by search and rescue teams on the mountain. Before heading up this high elevation destination, hit up the current conditions for accessibility during the winter months.
