Due to wildlife concerns we will be closed to tent camping until September 15th and are welcoming RV, Trailer & Van campers.

It all started many years ago when Christie met a few beautiful wooly pigs on a trip to Hungary. She adored them at the time, but didn't give them much thought. Years later, living in Portland, Oregon and married to Engineer Josh Doss, the couple were urbanites enjoying their local food scene. They were inspired by the farm-to-table movement and wanted to be a part of it. They began searching for land and determined that the gorgeous wooly Hungarian Mangalitsa were what they wanted to raise. With their young family in tow, the Dosses discovered their own little slice of heaven in the Northern Willamette Valley, about an hour West of Portland, Oregon. It's on 22 acres in the foothills of the Coastal Range, high above the valley, that some of the world's tastiest pork is raised.

We have plenty of space for tent campers and also have a nice rv that can sleep 4-6 adults and 2 bunk beds for 4 kids.

If your wanting a hands on experience of what it's like daily on our farm we would love to share this life we love. If your just wanting to relax we've got the place for you.

AMAZING!!!! The property is unlike any property we’ve seen. Beautiful 360 degree views. So quiet, and so magical at night. The hosts are some of the coolest and nicest people. The property is only a short drive from Portland and yet, feels so secluded and private. Plus, the farm animals are some of the friendliest we’ve seen. The property is great for kids and adults alike and is ideal for a fun-filled and relaxing Portland weekend getaway! You will come and you won’t want to leave. Total 5 star experience! We will absolutely be back!

Mountain Top Paradise is exactly as it sounds! From the amazing views to the friendly farm animals, it was truly a magical weekend. The host Christie is such a delight, and very caring about her guests. She constantly checked in with us to make sure we were hydrated and had everything we needed. (It was suuuuuper hot). Twilight/Evening was so beautiful! The amount of stars you can see at night, including the milky way had my husband and I up til 2am the first night just watching the sky. Christie's farm is also super fun especially with having unique pigs, chickens, and ducks. The goats are so friendly as well, and made it habit to visit them a couple times a day. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away, but wanting to be interactive with your surroundings. Thank you host Christie!! We truly had a wonderful time!!!!

All my best,
Andrea Shaffer

Christie and Josh were great hosts and their property is incredible. The views are amazing, our kids loved to visit the pics/chickens/turkeys/ducks, and their dogs Zelda and Link were extremely friendly and gentle. Access to hot showers and hookups for our airstream were an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. We'll be back the next time we're in the Portland area.

I loved staying here with the Insane 360 degree views. Christie and everyone else on the farm were so sweet and had lots of information to share about living and working on her farm. She has a rare breed of Hungarian pigs which were amazing to see, as well as the friendly chickens and her sweet pup. With this property being such a short drive from Portland, its a quick and easy get away, that you could stay forever. You won't want to leave. I hope to be back soon!

We arrived on a rainy and soggy afternoon (i.e. typical PNW day), to find Christie out gathering chicken eggs. She gave us a quick tour of the farm and pointed out the guest bathroom, as well as where we could plug in for electricity. The farm just added a yurt and latrine, so we took a peek and marveled at the vista. The farm is a farm, so keep in mind there will be animal-related sounds, smells and sights (like two adult pigs roaming around after escaping their enclosure). They are docile and were more interested in finding an extra dinner than in bothering us, thankfully. For the proximity to Portland, this is a wonderful retreat and I could see going back to enjoy the yurt once it is available!

We stayed in our campervan on the property. Christie, Josh and their boys were awesome. This mountain top hideaway is beautiful and the views are breathtaking.
The animals (including the dog greeters) are so great! If you are looking for an alternative to regular camping or even hotel stays, this is a once in a lifetime experience.
Of special note, we highly recommend Wyatt's tour of the property. Thanks!

The farm, the views, the animals, the hosts and their awesome family-- this place is epic. We have been traveling fulltime touring the US and so far this has been one of our favourite experiences. Christie and Josh were welcoming and very professional. We weren't prepared for the fire ban so they let us borrow their grill which was such a boon. You can see the love and hard work that goes into the farm. The wooly pigs are so cool-- plus the crazy ducks marching around the farm, plus chickens herding their babies through our campsite during breakfast, plus the awesome farm guardians Zelda and Link (big, gorgeous fuzzy giants-- so lovely to see them calm and gentle with my 2, 4, and 6 year olds) plus the chatty goats and baby turkeys... I could go on and on. The view at night is spectacular-- city lights and mountains-- hard to find both in one place. The 360 views alone were worth the trip. As a bonus their kids were great-- they welcomed us to camp and befriended our little ones, gave us a tour, and shared eggs and blackberries with us for breakfast. Already planning another trip in the fall!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The views are amazing and Christie was always super quick with her responses. Bathroom and shower was a plus, and we were able to camp with a beautiful view of the hills. We can't wait to come back.
