Didn't know you could milk a sheep? Or thought only cows made cheese? Come find out how it's done on this seasonal working ranch here in Eastern Oregon. Lambs are born in the spring and their moms are milked all summer long. I raise my sheep on fresh grass and sunshine. Come see for yourself here on the ranch. Pitch a tent on the pasture and literally count the sheep around you before falling asleep or climb the hill and see for miles in every direction. We may be close to the road, but it doesn't feel like it. We can accommodate campers, RVs, trucks, tents, and vans. 4 sites to chose from. Each site has access to a toilet, potable water, shower, picnic tables, trash disposal, and we allow campfires (outside of burn bans), and pets. We also sell fresh eggs, firewood, and lamb sausage. Our guests love staying with us: "There’s fireside fun in fresh country air, rolling hills around the farm to walk along to enjoy the wide expansive view, and sights and sounds of animals around camp to make for a relaxing day. There’s kittens, dairy sheep, gigantic but friendly herd dogs, and a variety of chickens and ducks. The host was kind and friendly. First Farm Camp

We had a fantastic visit at the farm. You can basically pick your spot to camp. We chose the more private area but I think that's what makes this place special. Want a weekend filled with all the animals? Go for it. Want some alone time out in the country with no distractions? Have at it. Terry is a great host with a ton of spunk. We will definitely be back. We had an incredible time camping at Tin Willows farm. Terry is very welcoming and kind and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable while staying at her farm. We were lucky enough to feed the lambs every day and help shear her sheep. It’s such a fun camping experience for families. Can’t recommend it enough! Thank you Terry!

We love staying at the sheep farm. This trip in late November was laid back as the milking was done for the season and most of the sheep off to their winter pasture. There were still cows and ducks and chickens and dogs and guinea fowl to enjoy and the morning community fire was most welcome in the winter chill. Terry is a great host and responds quickly to any needs that arise. She's very welcoming and really makes you feel part of the farm activities.

Real farm country, the good life

Wide open fields, with many options for camping. Perfect for a much needed out-of-town experience. Great for kids and adults who want a real taste of the rural countryside. This sheep farm is well loved and tended by a hard working host that makes you realize just how rewarding a country lifestyle can be for the soul. The sheep were tame, the working dogs were very friendly and mild mannered, and the Guinea fowl, chickens, and ducks definitely added to the genuine feel of farm life. This is a great place to put on a pair of muck boots, roll up your sleeves, and dig in- you’re going to feel better instantly and miss it the instant you leave the property.

This is our second time to Terry’s farm. We love it here. The sounds of birds and sheep during the day and the silence at night is just the beginning of why we come here. This time we took home four packets of lamb and a dozen eggs. What a tasty souvenir to bring home. Terry is the most gracious host and that makes our visit even more special.

Great spot with welcoming hosts (human, sheep, hens and dogs!). We both enjoyed talking with Terry and Wayne so much! A great beginning to our trip. Lovely area. We’d definitely come back. Side note - be sure to take the driveway right before the driveway with the house number. The Hipcamp is about 1/4 mile before reaching the address listed.

Terry's place exceeded our expectations of a hip camp and set the bar incredibly high for other stays. What a lovely stay (I would travel out of my way to stay here again) and a person. Don't miss out on the sheep ice cream or sausage. You will not regret it!

Love the sheep farm!

Terry is a delightful host and very welcoming. She has fabulous skills with kids. The sheep farm is a beautiful spot in that Eastern Oregon way, and the sheep, ducks, chickens, guinea fowl, dogs, cats, and other critters that make up the farm are entertaining to interact with. Because it's a working farm, expect typical farm-like things like the occasional animal droppings or flies, but this just adds to the immersive experience. Milking and herding sheep is an experience not to be missed--and don't forget to look up at the stars at night.

Miraculous night under the stars

Camping in a field all by ourselves, we were under a blanket of stars at night with only the sounds (sometimes chatty!) of sheep, Guinea fowl, and the wind. It was “a miracle” according to my 6yr old and I agreed. Terry was a welcoming host and so accommodating. There was only one other group camping there - regulars, as they referred to themselves - so nothing felt cramped for space. Outhouse was clean (no spiders!), shower not available. We purchased sausage and eggs and are looking forward to coming back again.

Sheep Farm Experience; so fun!

We got to meet and feed lambs, help milk the sheep, buy delicious sheeps milk ice cream, and sleep in a field with all kinds of animals. 🐑🐏🐕🐔🦃🦆🐑 Terry is rad -- knowledgeable and fun person. Potable water and pit toilet 👍 Us and our 2-year-old had a blast. He was running feral everywhere. He especially loved the chickens and baby sheep (and the rocks in the driveway haha).

Camping on the Farm

We loved our stay with Terry and all of the animals on the farm! This was our first time using Hipcamp and we were so happy to have had this as our first experience. We had our small pull behind camper and Terry let us choose our resting spot on her farm, there’s a lot of space to choose from. Once we were settled, we got to help with feeding the baby lambs and milking the mamas. This place is rustic and remote. There is an outhouse and sink for guests to use. I recommend buying the ground lamb sausages and ice cream, both were super tasty! My partner and I had a great time chatting with Terry over coffee and learning about how she got established as a farmer.

Remote camping with lots of animals

I loved tent camping on Terry's land! Remote and serene setting; woke up with sheep all around. Clean outhouse, but the shower is not currently working so if you are tent camping, plan another way to get clean. Even so, I really enjoyed my stay and the opportunity to mingle with the animals and help milk the sheep! Would stay again!

It was so wonderful staying on the farm! Terrie is so sweet and kind and invited us in to help her around the farm which I absolutely am so grateful to have had the chance to do! Beautiful rolling landscape and an enjoyable experience sleeping in the pasture with the sheep. I definitely recommend you visit the farm, we will 100% be back soon!

It was beautiful scenery and my kids got to help Terry milk the sheep in the evening and morning and then herd them to the pasture. She was friendly and sweet and even let my boys witness a lambing! I loved waking up to the sounds of the sheep and witnessing the sunset in the evening.

I highly recommend this place! We camped for three nights at Terry's property with our two young kids, and it was a memorable experience for all of us. Terry was very responsive, and the communication and coordination were fantastic. The property was easy to find and offered many activities. Wayne and Hope were incredibly kind and welcoming. The animals were very friendly, especially with the kids. We even got to meet three newborn sheep during our stay. The breakfast coffee was a nice surprise. The experience was truly unique. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Amazing expedience for all!

This place was magical. Not only did we get to camp, but we experienced 6 lamb births, helped milk the sheep, and bottle fed lambs. I feel like we have new friends after our time with Terry. She was amazing with us and our 5 year old. She works hard for her animals, but made time to help us learn too. Thanks for the morning coffee as well. We will return!

Just Wow

My favorite Hipcamp experience to date. Tin Willow Farms is both peaceful and full of life. From beautiful fields and rolling hills to park your rig and tent on, huge Central Oregon skies, to the hustle and bustle of an active farm full of sheep, cows, chickens, ducks, and the most friendly livestock guardian dogs you’ll ever meet - there’s truly something for everyone here. Best of all is Terry. She’s the most gracious host and took the time to teach me so much, allowing me to tag along and herd the sheep, milk them, and bottle feed the baby lambs. I spent a total of 3 nights here and wanted to stay longer. Thank you Terry for your kindness and for sharing a little bit of your beautiful world with us. Hope to see you again soon!

Everything to Love in a Hipcamp

We love visiting the sheep farm. This was our fifth visit and we'll definitely be back. Terry is a great host--so welcoming and so great with kids. It's fun to hang out with the sheep, baby lambs, dogs, chickens, ducks and guinea fowl and just enjoy the farm experience. She really lets you get in and participate with the farm tasks (if you so desire). The property is a lovely desert environment where you can take a walk and enjoy the views or just sit by the fire and chat with other campers. It does tend to get breezy at times, so come prepared.
