Places to see near McBride's Outpost
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
A beautiful retreat!
The McBride family is as lovely as their campsite. It was an absolute joy staying at their farm. The sites were clean and well maintained. Every request and and question was promptly responded to. I will be staying here again, I wish I never left.
The McBride's were very accommodating hosts. The asked if there was anything we needed before we came and had a map of the Molalla River waiting for us at the campsite. Their property is beautiful and they have put a lot of work in on each of the campsites. They have a nice little pond, picnic tables and firepits. They even gave us a complimentary half dozen eggs from their hens when we were leaving
Great place to get away!
It was a last minute decision to book our stay at McBride's Outpost and we are so glad we did! The McBride's are the friendliest and most helpful camp hosts we've had. Sites were peaceful with plenty of room. The property is well kept and the trees provide privacy and nice shady areas to relax. The nearby Molalla River is a perfect place to hike, fish, swim, and enjoy the outdoors. We plan on coming back soon!
The McBrides were wonderful camp hosts! They had the family there waiting to greet us, which was really nice. We got a ride to/from the site with our camping gear, and a little bit about all of the animals they had there on the farm. There are picnic tables at each site, and ours had a beautiful Little flower arrangement from the forest, along with a half dozen a farm fresh eggs that made a tasty breakfast the next morning! We had forgotten a pot for water(big oops) and they let us borrow one for the weekend which was a huge life saver. My family enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be making a few more trips out there this summer! Falling asleep listening to frogs in the pond, and the farm animals in the distance made for a relaxing nights sleep. A big bonus was the pond nearby, and a big open field so we were able to play bad mitten and some others games. The way the camp sites are set make them private, but they had a community fire pit which would be fun if you have a big family and friend camping trip! We can’t wait for our next trip out. Thank you McBrides for the great weekend!
Absolutely loved staying at McBride's Outpost! The sites were private enough but still had close access to the cute pond and the port-o-potty. The hosts were extremely accommodating, kind, and responded quickly to any questions we had. We ended up doing the farm tour before we headed out, and it was so worth it! Really fun to walk around and learn about all of the animals with the hosts. Heads up the sites are a good distance from where you park your car, but the hosts were available to drive our gear up and down for us, which was perfect!
Great hosts & beautiful views
We'll definitely be back. The hosts were so nice and the property is absolutely beautiful! It definitely felt remote but a short drive to beautiful hikes. From our tent campsite we could see other campers but still very spaced out. Loved our stay!
