Description

Great for a weekend hiking trip, this three-site primitive campground is smack dab in the middle of nowhere. Just how we like it! Accessible via Swain Prairie Road, you’ll want to come prepared with pretty much everything as there is no water, waste disposal or restrooms. A 6-mile round-trip hiking trail is located close by, that features an open cavern, the stunningly beautiful Deschutes River, and Stonehenge-esque rock pillars along the way. For more information on dates, weather and accessibility, check out the campground webpage.
