The town of Alma existed as a logging camp for many years. Alma, the town’s namesake, once owned this property. The old cistern from her days still stands on the property. Learn more about this land: Come find your paradise nestled into our 10 acres of Douglas fir woods in western Lane County. Camp in comfort in our beautiful bell tent with a queen size memory foam bed and propane heater to keep you warm during these chilly nights!! We have additional air mattresses available for you to use to fit up to two additional guests. Please check out our other listings if you have a larger group who may be interested in booking one of our tree tents or regular tent sites. Lucky Stars Retreat is perfectly located next to the Siuslaw and Smith Rivers (we can direct you to the best swimming holes!). Our property backs up to 5000 acres of BLM land with some huge old growth trees, and the hiking opportunities are endless, though they require a drive - some 10 miles, some further. Close to fun cities, wineries and coastal destinations, Florence is an hour away, Eugene is about 45 minutes and wineries are about 30 minutes: We can help you plan your perfect trip - or you can plan to do absolutely nothing but relax in the woods. You aren't coming to the woods to get a long list of rules, Lucky Stars Retreat’s rules are based on the golden rules - respect other people, the land, and our gear. Our property is heavily wooded, so campfires are only allowed in the communal fire pit (so long as the weather permits - please ask about the fire danger conditions). We also have a lot of wildlife. Bears have been known to visit the property, but will most likely run away when spotted. However, it's important to be aware of your surroundings, keep your dog under control, and carry bear spray (we have some for you to use when you're here). We love dogs and welcome your dog as long as its owners are well behaved! Please be respectful of other guests and keep your dog under control. There is a dog on the premises and he is off-leash. If you are not comfortable with dogs, this probably is not the right place for you. As of now we have a fantastic composting toilet (the sun-mar 3000), a fully stocked kitchen available for guests to use, and a shower. We have running water and on-demand hot water, and fresh spring water for drinking.  Please let us know if you have any questions. We would love to host you and share our property!

Lucky Stars Retreat Glamping Tent
Delightful Homestead Retreat
Lucky Stars is a beautiful off the grid experience tucked in the hills near wine country. The hosts are dedicated homesteaders curating their land as a very accommodating and laid back retreat for campers. The property is well maintained with a well-appointed indoor/outdoor kitchen, a garden and meadow, composting toilet, hot shower, outdoor games, fire pit and picnic tables, many tent sites and a tent pad with a large canvas glamping tent. It was very easy to stay Covid safe there. We hiked directly from camp, picked mushrooms, lounged in the meadow, cooked delicious food and enjoyed a fire and star gazing. Robin, Oryan and Leroy (dog), the hosts, are kind, friendly, have a lot of knowledge and stories to share and we enjoyed visiting with them all weekend. We hope to return!

Lucky Stars Retreat
Definitely worth it!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Lucky Stars for two nights and it was great!! Robin and Orion are amazing hosts and so much fun to be around. They gave us a tour around the site and even sat to chat with us for a while. We felt so comfortable and so welcome. They have a sweet dog that we fell in love with, he gave us cuddles throughout our whole stay! We will definitely be coming back in the near future :)

Hospitality and a Hoot!
Robin and Orion are simply rad! They were super communicative and helpful with directions, greeted us with a smile and grand tour of their awesome property upon arrival, then kept us entertained and laughing all weekend with great stories and fun activities. We didn't really wanna leave at the end of our stay and our pup sure as hell did not. Maybe next time Orion will take it easier on me in beanbags. Highly recommended all around!

Comfy bed in the glamping tent. Nice company by the kitchen, what's not to like? We had a nice time just hanging out and writing.
