Had a great time on April’s property. We parked a 5 person RV with ease. April was very welcoming and we really enjoyed staying on her farm which has chickens, alpacas and llamas who were all really friendly. Cell service is minimal/none for Verizon but April has WiFi which worked really well. The directions were not incredible clear which I communicated with April. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here!
Relax and let go on the farm
We loved our stay here. The farm is very peaceful and the camping location, while in close proximity to the main house, felt very private and safe. April is an exceptional host and made us feel very welcomed. We loved saying hi to the chickens and alpacas and definitely miss our new kitten friend Char.
Relaxing stay on a beautiful farm!
My family loves this place. There were things to do nearby but we stayed on the property the whole 2 days because it was so peaceful and beautiful! We had privacy but also got to interact with April and some of her farm animals. April is very generous, and kind. We were lucky to be the only people camping there because our dog has issues socializing with other dogs so she was able to enjoy it anxiety free as well. This farm is a dream, and the garden is beautiful! Thank you April for opening your farm to us! We will definitely be back!
A magical and comfortable stay
We had such a wonderful time. April was a gracious and welcoming host, and gave the family a tour of the farm and an introduction to its animals and crops. Our 8.5’-wide Airstream was a tight fit in the space, but it worked out and was super comfortable. April was also super helpful in helping us back the trailer out in the morning! Our daughter was thrilled to have a chance to spin some wool at a neighboring farm and both kids rated it as one of their favorite stays. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable!
A beautiful and spacious campsite.
Kings Valley Farmstay exceeded all of our expectations! The site was very large (an entire field - several acres) with plenty of shade and beautiful surroundings. April, the host, was so generous and kind. She gave us a tour of the farm and welcomed my four children to feed the alpacas and baby ducks, collect the chickens' eggs, and explore around the pond. She even gave us enough fresh eggs for the family to eat for breakfast (there are six of us, so it was a lot of eggs!). We will absolutely be back!
This is a magical place. April is a wonderful host and helped us create a special weekend away for our family. She has facinating stories and loves sharing her animals and property with others. Highly recommend!
We have mixed feelings about our experience at this site. I made the mistake of booking here even though our camper was much too big and April was kind enough to accommodate us. My experience (and lack thereof) led me to interpret 25’ in total to mean including the trailer and hitch, not trailer and truck. I’m not entirely sure how one can even tow anything totaling only 25’, but it must be the case for all the others who stayed here before us. We were greeted by April telling us we hadn’t followed her instructions to follow the site properly. It turns out that the instructions included with the listing are no longer correct and you must follow the ones in her message instead. This is good to note if, like me, you are on a long trip and staying multiple places and go back to the source to reference instructions rather than reread all messages.
After we arrived, April told my 8 year old who was excited to be out of the car to be quiet because the farm animals like quiet (she’s not a loud kid and we were nowhere near the animals), and she lectured my 13 year old step daughter on the importance of enjoying the outdoors when she was trying to find a cell signal out on the driveway to do her nightly call to her mother. The icing on the cake, though, was when we were packing up and she gathered our attention to give us a lecture on proper reading of listings moving forward. While I appreciate April’s attempt at improving my family, and her help backing our large trailer out of her narrow driveway, overall, none of us felt very comfortable staying here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kings Valley Farmstay. April is so helpful and the location for our Campervan was perfect for our size. The 25 foot length or less is best for tight corners getting into the field. Once in place, a beautiful fenced field was great for us and our yellow lab. Feeding the Alpacas was fun and reading in the hanging chair and hammock was relaxing. We're looking forward to coming here again! Thank you April.
