We enjoyed our time here. The field is huge! We appreciated the quiet space and the way the site is shady in the afternoon and sunny in the morning. We walked to the river. It is river access but not really a beach of any kind. There was a lot of loose grass which did get everywhere. Overall though it was lots of fun with our toddler.
My husband and I had a good stay here. The property is gorgeous, and the host incredibly nice! I'm a little torn on whether or not I would go again or recommend it though, just due to the lack of privacy. There is a row of maybe 8 sites in a field, and while we were lucky in that they weren't all booked, your neighbors are still very close...and there is no tree/bush/etc. coverage for privacy so you feel very exposed. Also no way to get out of the sun since you are just out in a field. Great option for floating the Clackamas though as you have water access right there! No beach to speak of but you can bring a floatie!
Awesome access to the clackamas
The field was HUGE!!! Nice shade in the afternoon. The portpotty and sink are a bit of a stroll from the site but are immaculate. The access to the river was super easy.
My husband caught a 14 inch rainbow trout and the kids had a blast splashing around. The rocks in the river are quite slippery so be aware and careful.
The site is quiet and peaceful during the night. We stayed during a warm weekend so there was a lot of daytime noise from the folks floating the river. It didn’t bother us at all but I would suggest that if you are looking for solitude, you stay in the cooler months.
Riverside fun without having to dri
Great space right off the river. Michael and Karen have a beautiful space that may also be rented for weddings and special events.
Camping is in a large field surrounded by trees. Easy river access between sites 3 and 4. There is a pristine porta potty at the entrance to the camp area with a sink for hand washing and spray sanitizer to wipe things down.
Great people watching this time of year as numerous groups float the river in all sorts of crafts. Even with all the river traffic the fishing is decent.
Would recommend this to individuals or groups - there are eight camp sites with eighty feet between each site.
Thanks again for the great stay Karen and Michael!
