Stunning views of the Willamette valley from our 80 acre Douglas for tree farm. This is a rustic wilderness campsite. There are a few hiking trails, and a stream with trout if you can find your way down to it. You’ll want to bring sturdy pants and maybe even a machete.

Mikk was there waiting when I arrived on the property after a beautiful drive from Portland. He got me oriented and set up the toilet tent while I got my car. I was able to drive right up to the camp spot which is nice b/c I bring the kitchen sink. The view was striking. I got there about an hour before sunset so the beauty just grew and grew. Then when I thought the show was over, the stars came out! Just a perfect site to watch the sunset and stargazing. Next meteor shower, I am going to be here.

There's a compost toilet in a tent, garbage drop and I'm sure Mikk would have let me fill up water had I needed it. It's up on the ridge so it was a little windy; luckily I brought a jacket. I had a great night and plan to be back.

Morning has brokenPoop tent. Number one view for when you do number two ;-)Packing upThe last light

After a busy week at work, my husband and I decided to camp not far out of the city but with the expectation that it would be private and beautiful and this site was definitely both. We got there a bit before sunset, set up camp and our little makeshift kitchen, and relaxed under the sky. The view was lovely and with an almost full moon we could see the expanse of the valley well into the evening. We would highly recommend this site to any of our friends looking to escape the city but not drive too far out.

Breakfast with a view. Some light reading.Ready to get up for sunrise.Relaxing on a Friday evening.

The views at this campsite were incredible!! It's a short drive from Portland, and it's very secluded and peaceful. The hosts provided a bathroom and drinking water, and there's plenty of space to set up a tent. Overall this campsite was fantastic, and the perfect place to get away.

I booked this spot last minute because my classes were cancelled and I wanted to spontaneously go camping. It was less than an hour away from Portland and the directions that Mike gave us were really helpful. We met him upon arrival and he showed me the area and gave us a potty bucket in case I needed it. I drove my car to the spot and set up camp. I slept in my car because I didn't want to set up a tent but there is enough room for probably 2-3 cars and some tents. It's not a huge area but a good enough area where my dogs were able to run around and stay close. The view was beautiful and we got a beautiful sunset after the little rain shower. I didn't have service on the drive up but at the camp, I had full LTE on T-mobile. The area was nice and well kept. We didn't meet any neighbor dogs until we drove back, one lab wandered over to say hi. A good place to go if you want to get out of the city and away for the night. We will definitely be back again!

The place is a little far out but I got helpful directions. It was nice to be away from the city, but it’s not too far of a drive at all. Mikker was there upon arrival, & helped get me situated & had a portable toilet set up. Also offered to let me borrow camp chairs. Overall, was very helpful & had a lovely place to stay! The view was unbeatable.

Mikker gave great directions to the camp. Is is pretty remote but also so close to Portland, which made it an easy escape from the city. The view is spectacular, and the land is so peaceful. I got lucky coming in June when there were tons of wild flowers. You can really see the weather shifts from that elevation looking over the valley. There was a thunder storm when I camped, but it passed through and it was quite peaceful afterward (check the weather in advance if possible). I'd definitely love to return! Had a lovely time, and am so glad I stumbled upon this camp site.

This was a rustic campsite with an extensive view. The camp is secluded but close to Highway 30 and Sauvie Island. A nice couple manage the land and sent excellent text message directions to help me find their place.
