I would categorize this as a great passing through spot. It is private, easy to find, easy to park, the host was available for communication and had very clear communication. Key points would be: peaceful area, surrounded by trees, quiet, private, clean, well cared for. I felt very safe and comfortable sleeping here.

Great communication and friendly host. Site was exactly what I needed for a quick solo tent camping overnight retreat.
It's a fairly intimate location that's closer to the owners' artist studio(?) building than I'd thought from the photos and is one of several residential properties nearby. They are right off a road that does have occasional traffic, so you will hear sounds of civilization from time to time, but mostly very quiet and feels private.
Easy to access though and the wooded area adjacent to the camping/RV spot provides a good little bit of forest immersion with a few walking trails that will allow you take a chair and read a book within the trees. Nice star visibility at night as it gets plenty dark.
Would definitely recommend for those looking for a quick and easy outdoor getaway!

We had a 25 ft TT that we pulled in with (and then backed truck out) due to hot afternoon sun when we backed in. It was great shade and nice to be among the trees. Lots of rural neighbors with some annoyances but overall happy there. We took the trailer to Elks in Forest Grove - free dumping (and donations appreciated). Shawn and Cheryl were kind hosts and we appreciated some eggs and grapes from the property!

Shawn’s property was very nice. He helped us with hooking up to water and electric. When there were hiccups he responded promptly. We would like to go back sometime when it’s not so hot. Maybe in the fall or spring.

We had a lovely stay at Shawn’s place. The space was clean and private. We misread the info on the electricity being less than 30amps but Shawn did his best to help us! He made sure we were settled in and was available if needed. He also allowed us to pick lavender from his garden, which was awesome. We stayed in our RV with our pups and had a great time. I would absolutely recommend!

This site is designed for self contained units with toilet available. I camp in a van with a port a potty so it works. Not fancy yet comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Since this site is close to home, I will return for a quick getaway!

Beautiful private sunny spot w morning and late afternoon shade.. Backing around tree was not something I ever thought I’d do but follow Shawn’s instructions and you’ll be fine. Gorgeous property, kind hosts, would happily return. Note that the route google takes you includes a railroad track which creates a big dip in the road; vehicles over 30 feet are supposed to find another route. I tow a 19 foot trailet and was fine but took it slow.

It was a lovely and peaceful spot. I will say there isn't much to "do" at this location past where you're parked (aka places to walk to or hang out), but as long as you have a self-contained rig, you'll be all set.

Really beautiful place. Great instructions. Owner had issue with electric, but was communicative and even offered a discount. So, I can’t complain. Overall a great lil two night escape. 30’ travel trailer fit just fine, just be sure to listen to instructions.

What a fantastic location! Very peaceful and private. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was amazing. Sit outside and enjoy the trees and the meandering deer as they come thru the yard. Fantastic directions and instructions. Thanks and we will be staying again if we are in the area.

Cozy little spot only 30 minutes from the city. Backs up right against a wooded area and feels secluded enough to be comfortable. Stopped on our way through to the Oregon Coast and would definitely come back.

Shawn met me on arrival, helped me position my rv on the site and get hooked up with electricity and water. Clean, level, attractive camp site. Directions accurate and easy to follow. Beautiful property, friendly and welcoming host, would highly recommend and would book again!

This is a lovely, tree-filled area close enough to city life for good food and activities, but quiet enough to hear the birds sing and chirp. The area is clean and well maintained. Shawn is very kind and responsive. Highly recommend!

This property is PRISTINE. The site was very private and picturesque. It is out “in the country,” yet close to town, if you desire. The Helvetia Market, just a few miles away, provides local, organic produce, meat, and other products. Shawn and his wife were so gracious, and always available, if we needed anything. Five Star For sure!!! Highly recommend.

Very great place to stay, a little secluded spot on a nice area of land you can walk around. Owner Shawn brought us some fresh lavender, eggs, and squash from his farm. Very kind and worked with us on our short notice to stay there. Beautiful place! 10/10 recommend staying at this location!

Shawn is a very generous and gracious host. He is very welcoming and he provides excellent directions with pictures.
The pad is level gravel surrounded by trees and there was plenty of room to maneuver our 20 foot trailer into position. We stayed one night and would definitely stay there again when visiting the Portland area.

We had a great stay at the Helvetia Hideaway. Shawn is an awesome host! Very friendly, helpful and communicative.. Provided great directions. The site itself was lovely. Out in the country, nestled at the edge of the woods. Very quiet. Birds chirping, deer meandering, starry skies. The site was nice and graveled and wide. Shawn even provided us with a couple yard games to play and his wife brought some kids books down for our like ones. Was a great home base for our northwest adventures. We’d definitely go back. Thanks Shawn!
