We are teachers in this tiny community who live here because we love the outdoor recreation. We purchased this 80 acres five years ago for the close proximity to town, the river, and the views or the river and valley below. The property sits on a North East exposure with amazing sunrises. Our driveway is steep, but worth it for the panoramic views. We have horses, chickens, dogs and cats; all are friendly. We embrace living off the grid and grow gardens with vegetables, flowers and native plants.

Guyon Springs Cabin
This was a lovely getaway with such accommodating hosts!! I enjoyed conversation with them both and helping to herd the ducks every now and then to help them out with the daily chores! The cabin was so very comfortable with ample kitchen supplies if needed and a very cozy bed. The hosts gave great local tips on things to see and where to eat in the quaint Dayville area -- they helped make our getaway very memorable. 10/10 recommend! Plus, there were plenty of barn cats that loved to be petted and photographed, what more could a girl ask for? :D

Guyon Springs Cabin
This location is a jewel! It is secluded and beautiful. The hosts are incredible! The cabin itself is one of a kind and so cozy! LOVED the wood fired hot tub. Our second night we stayed at the wall tent which was incredibly romantic. The little details that went into decorating were very apparent. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in ever! There was a great thunderstorm and the tent kept us dry and safe! Totally recommend this location and BOTH sites. The hosts are friendly and accommodating and just lovely people! We will be back.

Highly, highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to turn their phones off and get outside, while still living in comfort! Kerri and her husband are AWESOME hosts. What they're doing with their property is something else, and definitely worth checking out. The location is great - close to Painted Hills and Sheep Rock (another John Day Fossil Bed Unit), as well as hundreds of acres of public lands for you to roam around on. I'll definitely be coming back this summer purely to check out the swimming holes, and take full advantage of their wood fire hot tub (which I can't praise enough with how awesome it is).

Guyon Springs Cabin
Our stay at Guyon Springs was great! I needed a break from Seattle, so we booked a long weekend at this cabin to explore the John Day Fossil Beds and Painted Hills. The cabin’s location was perfect. The hosts and their dogs were super friendly! I loved the cleverness of the cabin built around the RV. I guess I can say I have finally gone “glamping”, although I think this was a step up from glamping. The stars at night, wood fired hot tub and distant horizon really made this a rejuvenating weekend.

Guyon Springs Cabin
This site was a great area to stay for the night while in eastern Oregon. Surrounded by canyons and rolling hills, the scenery is as enjoyable as the cabin at this listing! Complete with a bed, couch, tv and stove, the cabin is perfect for relaxing in the Oregon countryside. There is even an additional bed attached in the back of the RV portion of the cabin, and a kitchen as well. The outhouse is located directly next to the cabin, and borers a stable with two horses occupying it. The hosts are incredibly nice and sociable, and offered plenty of assistance and knowledge about the area. Spend your day either in the tub, or exploring the John Day Fossil Beds, located only a few moments away.
