Looking for room to stretch that provides beauty, privacy and a place to play Frisbee with your dogs? Want to go camping in the woods with running water and electricity? This is it. Pitch your tent or park your RV on a nice flat space in the lower meadow or the middle meadow under the large evergreen trees. Site 1 has the closest access to the bathroom, and is located right next to the on-site vintage RV and the NEW Burn Pit and NEW regulation Horseshoe Pit! The RV on site provides all guests a bathroom, 4 burner stove for quick cooking, coffee, etc. and some seating and a game table for comfy inside access and is a great escape from mosquitoes at dusk. We don't allow people to stay in the RV, so it remains open to everyone 24/7. Site 1 is a quarter mile from the caretaker's house. Sites 1-5 have easy road access, you can park your car right by your tent or RV - but there is only one site where campfire burning is allowed which is Site 1 - so we ask Site 1 campers to be aware of this and to be welcoming to the other campers at all times. Each site is easy walking distance to running water and we have electricity down at the RV by Site 1. Property is a 1/2 mile in from the main road and 5 miles up from the freeway. Very private other than others camping and the hosts and their dogs checking in to see how things are going. Located at the base of a small mountain range of BLM property. Great hiking. Picnic table and assorted chairs at site 1. Sites 6 & 7 are rough tent only sites available that you can hike to where there is no parking or services for those who want to get way out into the wilderness - but no cooking or fires are allowed. Site 2 is an RV or tent secluded space without any services that is very close to water, but has no electricity nearby but it does have poison oak, so take caution, you might want to put a tarp down and keep your dogs on a leash or wash your hands after petting them here and in other spots where there is the presence of poison oak. We urge campers not to keep food in your tents, as in all camping, please keep food in your car or in the RV so you don't attract wildlife. We keep it clean, we hope you do too! This acreage is beautiful and has several wonderful areas. Birds are abundant as are many deer and elk and all of the animals you'd expect in the woods.

Hidden Forest Getaway is a hidden gem and it's hands down one of the most beautiful campsites I've been to this year. Rebecca's place is tucked away in a gorgeous area of the Rogue River. The property is 40 acres so you can spend all day simply hiking and exploring the wildnerness. We came across wildflowers, elk tracks, and morel mushrooms on our hike here.
You can also pretty much pitch a tent anywhere. We were undecided between two great spots - a secluded nook surrounded by a canopy of trees or the large grass lawn next to the vintage trailer, which has a stove, fridge, bathroom, and indoor dining table available for campsite guests! Both had their draws - being totally in nature or having some comforts/luxuries. We set up our tent and took it to both spots to try them out and in the end decided on the one closer to the trailer as the fire pit and grill won us over. If you had a large party, this spot would be ideal as you really could spread out.
All in all, great place, great location, great host!
This was a really beautiful setting! We enjoyed lots of trees, open skies and camp fires. We were given several options of where we wanted to pitch our tent... it was hard to choose, they were all lovely. There is running water and toilet access inside an RV. There is also a stove available which we didn't end up using. The hosts were very kind and allowed us to explore the woods on their property to check out the trees and wildflowers (which there are plenty this time of year). Overall it was a nice getaway.. very peaceful and beautiful. Thank you!
Rebecca is a great host! She was very communicative and clear with all instructions and directions. She greeted us at her beautiful Hidden Forest Getaway, which is also an Elk haven, and showed us various places where we could set up camp. The campsite was well-maintained, had access to water, bathroom, fireplace, wood, and other camping items. Rebecca also gave us a list of recommendations for activities to do in the area, which are plentiful. We decided to try the Hellgate Jetboat Excursion, which was well worth it, and we also visited some great wineries. Overall, our camping experience was very enjoyable and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for adventure, relaxation, and great hospitality!
Rebecca and her husband Rico were top-notch hosts. They were helpful without being hovering, always with great recommendations for local shows, eateries, and where to take a raft. They even thought to water the grass before we got there so we would have green but not get wet. The set up is all anyone could want: plenty of space for a large tent and a nice motor home we could use when it got too hot. We hope that, though this was our first trip there, it won’t be our last. Well done and thank you, Rebecca and Rico! You are tops in our book!
Loved staying here. I have a small RV and all I really need is water and electric hookups, both were provided. Rebecca and Rico were really great about the directions and communication, even stopped by to say Hi. The spot is gorgeous and there's a picnic table and grassy field to enjoy. Hope to come stay again!
We loved our stay on Rebecca's land! It was the perfect spot to meet up with our friends from
Portland and Klamath Falls. The RV was super convenient to do dishes in and having access to a bathroom was a huge plus. In addition, having firewood provided was really convenient. For our group of seven, it was the perfect spot- more private than many public campsites while also having many of the amenities that make tent camping easier. We enjoyed the fall foliage as well as getting to walk along one of the trails in Valley of the Rogue state park- about a 20 minute drive away. Definitely would recommend to others!
This site was amazing! For my first Hipcamp experience I was very impressed. Our host, Rebecca, was so attentive to us and made sure we were comfortable. This weekend was cold and Rebecca had turned on the hot water and kept the heat running in the RV next to the campsite in case we needed it. The RV had a bathroom and kitchen that we were able to use and it was so perfect for the cold weekend. The campsite was beautiful and we all enjoyed ourselves around the campfire with plenty of wood and a wonderful view of the stars. Thank you, Rebecca!
Rebecca was an excellent host and even started a fire for our arrival!
Our fur balls Petey and Riley ran on the acreage until they fell asleep and then ran again when the woke up. Petey (our lab) found the little stream just south of the camping area to play in and then came to the fire to dry off. Thank you Rebecca for our time. We will be back.
