Originally built as a spiritual retreat center, The Sanctuary was the spiritual hub of this land. It is a 24-sided "yurt" structure that is deeply infused with the solemn quiet of those who have come before.

The experience is less like camping and more like a guest house complete with modern construction, insulation, kitchenette, bathroom and bed. The property though has the energy of a wilderness. It is at the end of the road and surrounded by wildlands.

At night, the skies are completely dark with no light pollution from neighbors or nearby Eugene. There is abundant firewood and guests often choose to spend an evening enjoying the coals of a fire. Mosqiuitos are rarely a problem (that one still baffles me).

The Sanctuary is useable year-round as it is both heated and air conditioned. Your stay includes all your bedding materials as if your were staying in a hotel.

There is a private bedroom alcove that has a King size bed. In the main room there is a double bed and several couches that butterfly flat for additional sleeping.

No smoking indoors. You may smoke outdoors, but please be mindful of your butts and wary during fire season.

SPECIAL FOR PET OWNERS:

• Dogs may be considered with a $25 per dog fee. Please leave your pet deposit on the kitchen counter, table, or provide to on-site property manager, Michel.  Sorry, we don't take cats.

Here's our pet guidelines:

• Dogs must be on leash while outside (for their protection, so they don't chase after deer and get lost.)

• Please don't leave them alone while inside.

• Please keep them off of beds and furniture— bring a pet bed for them.

• It's important to trim their nails before you arrive, because they will scratch our wood floors.
