The host Jason was super friendly and nice! They showed us around the camping area and to the river. They also had kayaks, paddle boards, and floaties we could use as well on the river. There was lots of fire wood as well ready to go when we arrived. It was really nice having a nice private area to relax while road tripping. They also had a cute dog, chickens, and some pigs hanging it so that was even better!
Foley’s River Camp is a hidden gem. The campground was an awesome space in a grove of trees. There was plenty of room for our group to spread out and tons of privacy between tents. The river was absolutely perfect, there’s a sand beach and Jason offered to lend us his kayaks and paddle boards.
Jason was an excellent host. We had a few mishaps, but he was incredibly flexible and understanding. Foley’s River Camp is in a great location with easy access to anything we might need. Our entire group would highly recommend this spot and hope to be back soon!
The location is great. We didn’t swim in the river but there were plenty of people enjoying it. He came by and made sure we were all set and even let us use their kayaks since they weren’t planning on taking them out. A nice bonus, and an enjoyable time staying at Foley’s River Camp.
Beautiful little getaway.
Super happy we took the weekend to stay here. The river is beautiful and perfect for swimming this time of year. Even though we were somewhat in Jason’s backyard, it was so plush with trees, you’d never even realize you weren’t camping in the deep woods. Such a great weekend!!
Adventure for kids, adults unsure?
First time staying at a hipcamp spot. Host Jason is nice; welcomed us and gave us privacy. I was a little concerned about the site at first- just because I didn’t realize the house would be so close to the site and it’s a work in progress. BUT- there is quite a bit of privacy due to some trees and bushes. My 4 kids thought it was the best place ever!!! I felt safe having them roam the few trails down to the river, to see the free range pig, and to pick berries. My 5 year old is already missing Jason’s elderly dog that visited often. There are many good things about this spot, but to help other campers out- know that there is considerable road noise from the other side of the river, uneven/stumpy covered ground, and lots of animal poop. I found a shovel, so it worked out ok.
Right where you wanna be.
Just got back from a long weekend relaxing at Foley's River Camp. My first hip camp experience and it was such a pleasure. We enjoyed the large but sheltered camping area and being right on the river was wonderful for floating and soaking up the sun. Jason was a great host and checked on this a couple times to see if we needed anything which I appreciated. I also enjoyed getting to see all his farm animals. This site is secluded but close to town so you can easily access what you might need. It is also a short drive to the cute little town of Bandon and some beautiful state parks.
A little piece of heaven...
We had a wonderful experience for the first time using hipcamp.com. Jason was a wonderful host who checked on us a couple times, but for the most part he left us to enjoy our time camping by the river! The only thing I would've changed was out of his control....weather! The site is spacious and plenty of wondeful trees to hang our hammocks! I would camp there again!!
Was great to have access to the river. It is down a steep hill to get to the water, so keep that in mind. My husband fly fished and caught a lot of fish and kids played on the sand. Jason’s house is close, just be ready for that. He also had farm animals and even baby piglets!
