It was great! Very convenient but remote enough that you wake up in a field. Host was respectful of distance but responsive to any needs/questions. Our 2 year old had a great time! You can hear the cars on the freeway, but it becomes white noise after a bit. Great spot for testing out camping without straying too far from the Metro area.
Ireland in america
Every morning I awoke to the most spectacular view of green fields filled with purple and white flowers. Every direction as far as the eye could see held beautiful views of greens, oranges, purples.
Peaceful amongst the apple trees
Overall, this property is a nice location. Has some wide open spaces for pitching a tent or two. The views are nice, Oh, and the farm fields and foothills in the background are scenic also. The property is a working stable, not much farming going on. The porta potty is near the stables and some distance from the campsites.
Beautiful site, just be flexible
Lovely area of oregon - we enjoyed listening to the birds on the pond and seeing the trees and clover flowers. The portapotty was quite far from our site, and the kitchen setup/water seemed like it was part of someone else’s site, but the communal bbq, fire pit, picnic table, and Adirondack chairs were very nice. It’s a no-frills campsite, so you may have to pay for any extras, like an extra car, but it’s close enough to town that you can pick up forgotten supplies. Note that the directions say to stop by the blue house, but they’ve painted it brown.
I'll admit first that my group made a mistake. That being said, I feel that the property owner was less than reasonable in dealing with us. Ultimately, HipCamp needed to step in. Fortunately, HipCamp did a great job mediating.
Third time at this site. It just got better and better. The campsite was upgraded with Porta potty and camp shower. Using a garden hose with spray attachment is refreshing 😀
The campsite was peaceful for the most part. I enjoyed the thumping sounds of the host? practicing heavy metal solo on the drums. Such a amazing woman in so many ways. The hosts also exercised their 2A by having a little target practice near their pond. In a safe manner of course. Wish the best for Rita and her plans.
