Well laid out site and scenic location on bend in river. Lots of space for kids to play and swim in river. Tent was clean and spacious for 4 people. Hosts were helpful and very responsive to questions. Bring your own cooking gear: there is a shared grill and pizza oven but we weren’t traveling with plates & utensils, and also would have liked access to a hot plate or burner for boiling water etc.
Glamping is worth trying! Beds and blankets were warm though it was around 39 degrees. River on-site is very nice and clean, amenities were always clean, enough hot water for washing. Wish there were more private space (2 glampings are surrounded by small houses, RVs and tents), but overall that was a great experience
Our family of 4 had a wonderful two day stay at Crater Lake Resort. Due to a minor scheduling snafu we were relocated in Cabin #11. A very clean and convenient cabin with an outstanding view of the river and foliage. Complementary canoes are available to paddle around the pristine water. In addition the general store is fully stocked, the staff helpful and the other camp guests were very friendly.
Really lovely time there. I usually prefer a more secluded site, but the site is great for that community camping experience. Would be helpful to tell which site is which upon deciding what to rent. All in all, an absolutely lovely time and the canoe's are a great feature! My guy and girl had a great time celebrating their birthdays.
Awake until 2am, no covid awareness
Unfortunately, our experience here had more negative than positive attributes. The worst was the noise level at night while trying to sleep after a long day of travel. If you're going to put quiet hours into effect, perhaps you should attempt to in some way enforce them. We were kept awake until 2AM by a loud group partying at the campsite next to us. Didn't see a single mask worn at the entire facility, including in the shop by the employees. This is a now a state mandate in Oregon, no? Large groups were also gathered in common areas. The only upside was the bed was pretty comfortable. Facilities were all very dated but fairly clean.
