About Cooper Hollow Campground
Little homestead at the end of the Applegate Trail near the Oregon coast range, 1 hour and 30 minutes southwest of Portland. Our property has eight acres, containing mostly open pasture, as well as a nice flat area near the house. Behind a small marshy creek, we have two acres of wild wooded flat land. Upon your arrival, you will get to choose your own camp site. The grassy flat spot by our house offers all of our available amenities, and has great shade. If you would like a more private camping experience, behind the creek is wooded and it is hard to see the light from any nearby houses. It is a moderate walk to pack back there, through a pasture for mini donkeys. Great for stargazing!
Amenities include a nice portable toilet, table, water, electricity, and garbage service. Though we are out in the country, multiple carriers have LTE and 4G service as well. AT&T has very good reception and LTE on our property. We would also be happy to let you use our camping gear if you need it: chairs, lantern, shade sails, tarps, ice chest.
We only take one group of campers at a time, so you have privacy. Our property has few neighboring homes. We have good bird watching and see bald eagles occasionally.
