incredible spot. Our host Christopher was super kind and helpful, he had all sorts of advice on where to go in the area--although the place was so great, we ended up just staying put. The campsite was huge, with lots of room to wander and total privacy. There was a nice set up for a fire pit, a dining table with chairs, a kitchen/bar hut, and an outhouse. Christopher also kindly left us a wagon of firewood at the end of the road for us, and also gave us farm fresh eggs in the morning. The view of the Sisters mountains was beautiful and super clear in the day, and the stars were so bright at night. Definitely go!
Absolutely the best camping trip ever! We had so much Room to spread out with various tents I will never be the same again camping anywhere else. The outhouse was cleaner than some public restrooms I have been in And the overall property had this wonderful rustic charm. It was the little details like the Geo cache and the fresh eggs and looking at the stars through a telescope it just made the whole experience magical. Camping in the high desert we came back dirty and tired but extremely happy. Our hosts were generous and kind ...they knew so much about the area, flora and fauna...We enjoyed visiting with them as much as camping on the property.

This magical place far exceeded my expectations. The host makes you feel welcome as soon as you arrive, the sites are very private and it is full of amenities. We had been bare bones camping the nights before we got there and it felt like glamping in the Wild West at the Aurora. A much welcome experience. There are fresh eggs and big piles of firewood for purchase as well along with fresh coffee and lovely chats with the host in the mornings if desired. We will be back!!!
Beautiful night skies and great nearby obsidian pits. Cold in March. However, Windance and Moriah kept us warm with very effective heaters in the saloon, plenty of good cheer and ready bundles of firewood for the camp spot. ( :^)>
This was an expansive site. You are in the high desert, so it was also very dusty, but that is to be expected. The road into the site is pretty darn bumpy, so if you are dragging a trailer, be prepared. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The bath house was a nice, relaxing experience. Cool views.
The camp host(s) are wonderful people! This was our first Hipcamp experience so we weren't sure what to expect. Our campsite was everything we could have asked for! We had unbelievable views of the cascades where our tent was set up, covered spot for cooking around the campfire, personal outhouse (which they setup to be the nicest outhouse we have seen!), and the hospitality they offered in the communal grounds was the perfect balance of interacting with the other campers yet also allowed for us to retreat to all the privacy we could ask for. The camp is a great base to visit everything Central Oregon has to offer. We can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!
The site far exceeded our expectations! So many sweet touches that made our stay more comfortable and magical! The ground for the tent platforms is soft to sleep on, there's a lovely little kitchen structure to set up your camp stove protected from the wind. Big fire pit. And they sell a bundle of wood for $20. Cash. Bring trinkets for geocaching. 😊 We will definitely return and bring more friends! 👍💚

What a great spot. The site and our hosts more than exceeded our expectations! The site was roomy, private and well maintained. The camp kitchen and shaded areas came in quite handy. The views were wonderful. A great spot to relax and enjoy the desert!
