This is a 1950's ranch house built for the legendary country singer Rose Maddox. It's a working cattle ranch on acres upon acres of pristine pasture land.

We really loved our stay! We ended up getting in pretty late and Jay was totally awesome in helping us get set up. The animals and garden were great too!

Small farm paradise
Jay Bee’s place is beautiful, and close to downtown for easy access to bars and restaurants. We felt very welcome in his space, and enjoyed sleeping under the fruit trees overlooking the rolling hills.

Perfect stop
Jay was a great host and was there to welcome us even though we got in late. He gave us great local recommendations and showed us around the property. His little property is quaint and quiet and although the neighbors are close it still felt peaceful. We would 100% stay again if we’re in the area. Thanks Jay!

Birds & Bees Homestead
Jay was an excellent host. He gave us background on the local history & music of the land, and shared some lessons on how he runs his homestead, while being a solid, down-to-earth great guy. Made the trip awesome. Bonus; the views here are amazing, you're right down the road from town, and the mountain well water is delicious.

Birds & Bees Homestead
I had a great time during my stay at Birds & Bees Homestead. Jay is an awesome guy whom I now consider a friend. The area is prime as well, being close to everything in town but far enough to get away from the suburban feel. I plan visiting Ashland more for their amazing mountain bike trails and hope to stay at Jay’s every time! Thanks Jay for making my trip comfortable and fun!
