This little cabin is tucked into my half acre backyard. Surrounded by a garden, goats, hens, old growth fir trees, canvas wall tent (which also hosts guests), and a hot tub - you will also have access to a half bath with a toilet, sink, and laundry in the main house - as well as an outdoor shower on the deck in the summer months. These spaces are shared. The cabin, however, is all yours. The cabin itself is equipped with a queen size bed with memory foam mattress, a table with two chairs, a hot water kettle, a dresser, as well as a very-mini fridge. This is a space to unwind and relax.
You'll have access to the cabin, the yard, hot tub, deck, outdoor grill, outdoor shower and tub (in the summer months), and half bath (toilet, sink, washer and dryer) in the main house. All spaces other than the cabin are shared. Please note that in the winter the outdoor shower is not available (freezing temps mean frozen pipes). Please also keep in mind that there may be guests in the canvas wall tent out back in the woods. I also host an Airbnb experience Indigo dye class out of my home studio (if you're interested in learning indigo, let me know!).
Halfway between Mt Hood and Portland, this spot is a good jumping off point for the gorge, mountain activities, or time in Portland. The neighborhood is partly suburban, partly urban, and partly farmy. It's a big mix out here. Close proximity to Edgefield.
Short drive to the mountain or the Gorge or downtown. Having a car is highly recommended. The blue line to downtown Portland is about a 3/4 mile walk away.
Other things to note
Please be mindful that this is a bit of a rustic space. In the summer months there's a outdoor shower, in the winter months the outdoor shower is closed and you will need to coordinate with me to use the shower in the main house. The half back (toilet and sink) is always available though. I live here as well as my roommate. We appreciate quiet guests and will give you your privacy during your stay (we like ours as well). We do use the common areas though, so you can expect to see us on occasion. Please don't feed any of the animals (many things are harmful to them).

This was such a unique space! It was easy to forget you were right in the outskirts of Portland. We spent the night listening to the wind rustling in the tall trees above as we dozed off to sleep in the perfectly cozy cabin. It felt like we were out in the woods in the middle of nowhere. The host had it equipped with necessities for morning coffee/tea and fresh water and the cutest teal mini fridge I've ever seen. The restroom was easily accessible in the main house with a private entrance from the back yard. We were greeted in the morning by chickens in our porch and it wouldn't be a complete experience without feeding the goats before we left! Great stay in a cute cabin.
