Living the dream on a 40 acres farm with cows, sheep, chickens, and a Llama. At our camp site we started a project building a small Pyramid (in progress), sleeps 2-3 people has a concret floor. Our property is on the Santiam River in Stayton Or.
I am a certified Yoga teacher and can schedule for an extra price a private one hour yoga class at my home here on the farm. If I have time and enought farm eggs we will cook up breakfast for a fee. We also rent tubes for the river.
Lots of fun things to do in this area or you can just jump in the river go for a swim, do some fishing or just lazy around for the day! We are close to Brittenbush Hot Springs and Silver Springs Waterfalls as well.

The vibe at 40 Acres Farm w/River
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Had a great night out on Lori's property this weekend. The land and pyramid are right along the Santiam River, which is a great sound to fall asleep to. The property is a working farm and Lori took me around to meet some of the animals living there. Had a great time camping out there, but also really enjoyed hanging out with the host, Lori. She is a yoga instructor up from California seeking a life in the country. Thank you so much for the great conversation and farm fresh food!
Our stay at the 40 Acre Farm was fantastic! Lori is a friendly and helpful host, took the time to engage with & teach our children, and was a pleasure to visit with. The camp site is private yet close enough to town to be convenient. The sound of the river is peaceful, the picnic table and campfire ring are convenient and we would love to stay again when we're in the area. Thank you Lori!
Spent a spring night on the farm to scout it out for a potential summer stay. I will definitely be back. Lori was a gracious host, the site was clean and private. The A-frame is nearly complete and I could have slept in there but wanted to sleep in the back of my Jeep. There is a fire ring an picnic table as well, it is all set up for a nice stay. You can hear the river while you sleep and although it is really close to town you feel far away which is great for me as I typically am working while on vacation and had great cell service there. Had the opportunity to see an osprey nest, Lori said they nest there in the Spring.
This place is great. It was a little confusing getting there because we didn't know we were supposed to keep following the road down to the camp spot but we just called Lori and she explained it no problem. The camp area is right by the river, the pyramid shelter is so convenient and bigger than it looks in pictures, the fire pit is cool and has a grate for cooking. 100% recommend!!!
We had a great stay at Lori’s! We loved the pyramid and actually ended up setting our tent up inside of it which made the overnight warmer. There was firewood available and the property is large. We will definitely be visiting again some time soon!
We had planned to hike, but the river right next to the campsite was too nice to leave and we spent three days with our camping chairs in the little creek leading to the river, reading books. We also took a wonderful relaxing meditative yoga class with Lori, who is a great teacher. My only reminder is to bring shade! It was hot when we visited and we were lucky that we brought a folding canopy because the campsite is in full sun from 10-5. Other than that, it was wonderful and we would like to come back someday!
