Listen to the whistle of a train and coyotes howling as you camp under the open skies on the prairies of Oklahoma just as the cowboys and Indians did all those years ago. This 40 acre farm is a blend of animal rescue work, gardening, traditional farming and western living. From hand-feeding animals to growing food to spinning wool into yarn, we are about as traditional as it gets.

We were greeted with a smile and grand tour apon arrival and invited to explore. Being city dwellers and this being my son’s first experience on a farm, my expectations were exceeded. Ducks, chickens, goats, sheep, horses, cows, donkeys, and the army of eight (barn cats) were all friendly. My thanks to the entire Straw family’s openness and careing mission to save animals. This is a must see if you get a chance or are in the area, this is a must stop for anyone wanting a truly unique experience.
