Horseback riding to the cave is available (must make reservations) ,hiking trails around the top of the cave makes for amazing views. It's known as the Robbers Cave . We like to call this our cowboy camp so Remember this is very primitive! There is no running water, and you will have to use a real outhouse! The horses are turned out at night in the lower pasture but can’t get into camp. The view is amazing! We do have two gates you will have to go through to get to camp. Also remember to keep your food and trash put up so the critters won’t get into it! Thank y’all for choosing us! Last thing don’t forget water and a sleeping bag and pillow!! Sorry NO PETS!

This is the best campsite I’ve EVER stayed at! Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had heaters in case we needed them, and had everything we needed. They even brought a jug full of warm water to use for washing. The horseback ride up through the trails in the soft evening light was amazing, and the view at the top of the Robbers Cave was breathtaking. The beds inside the wagon were so comfortable, and it was so amazing to look up at the beautiful stars with the wind gently whistling through the trees. It’s so refreshing to just sit in the peaceful stillness, nestled in the beautiful mountains, cook over an open fire, and breathe the wild air. I'd highly recommend staying at this quaint camp.

Fun place to stay at. Staff was friendly and attentive. I'll look forward to my next trip here.

We always enjoy sharing our ranch with family’s like y’all! Thank you for staying with us! Hope to see y’all soon! RCS
Such an amazing camping site, truly beautiful and so quiet. It went beyond our expectations and we absolutely loved everything about this place. It was such a perfect spot especially since we had our dog. We took our puppy every where and they even kenneled him so we could go on one of the best horse back riding trips we have been on. Glen was the best host you could ever ask for, always helpful and was always available when needed. Such a sweet and caring person who made the stay even better!
We will definitely be coming back soon to enjoy this spectacular place again!

Host Glen was terrific. I had my grandson with me for his first camping experience and Glen put out every effort to make certain it was special.

We here at the ranch love to see family’s getting outdoors together! Thank y’all for staying with us! The covered wagon is perfect for the young and old! The kids will love it! RCS and Codyjames
I randomly stumbled across this listing when I was looking for a last-minute weekend trip spot. I stayed here for a night with my 6 and 11 year old boys. The site is so cute and located up the hill from the Robbers Cave stables, where you can pay for a guided trail horseback ride with the camp host. The site is nestled at the edge of the forest and overlooks a little pasture where horses roam free. There are a bounty of fire rings/pits, lots of firewood, a swing, and a few covered picnic tables. The camp site is ringed by a simple log barrier to keep the horses out, and the covered wagon greets you right as you pass through the gate. We came over spring break, so it got pretty cold, but the host offered a propane heater. The wagon has bunks with some blankets, but being your own if you’re coming fall-spring- it got down to the 30s and it was chilly! The host’s name is Glen and he was so accommodating and helpful! There was a nice fire lit when we arrived and he drove up the hill with a jog of hot water for hand washing, AND he lit all the lanterns for us! 10/10 recommend staying here- I think this place is a gem!

Beautiful views, very cool, private campsite overlooking pond and the horses. Awesome camp set up with horseshoes, two covered picnic tables, fire pit, plenty of camping supplies on site. Everything was awesome except one thing, the covered wagon had not been cleaned, there were at least and I’m not exaggerating, 400 dead lady bugs in the wagon, when I removed one of the blankets there was a spider in the bed. Okay no big deal, I can clean this out later and we’ll be fine. Later, before dusk, I go to shake out the blankets and sweep up the dead bugs. Within 2 minutes of being in there I noticed a big spider web with a fairly large spider on it, I killed 2 spiders on the floor with my foot as they ran by and under the covers there were 2 more than ran out as I lifted the blanket. So at that point we decided to sleep in our car! Once again, everything else was really awesome, I just wish I would have brought my tent!

Please remember this is a back country experience. The blankets are for decoration only! The bugs are part of nature and are out of my control! You must be willing to take on a few little critters! The covered wagon is not completely sealed, we do our best to make it comfortable for everyone! If everyone in your group is not an outdoor person this probably is not for you ! We serve groups every week and I have never had a problem! We specialize in the western experience, giving people the feel of the real outdoors! Thank you for visiting us! Glen at RCS
The campsite was secluded and beautiful. I took my children (2&6) and they loved it because you can watch all of the horses grazing while at the camp. I will definitely be back.

Thank y’all for staying with us here at the ranch! One of or specialties is the horseback ride to the covered wagon. If ever y’all get to come this way again we would love to have y’all stay again! It is a back country experience, off the grid as they say. Thank you glen at RCS
This place was the most amazing, family friendly place we have stayed. The campsite is nestled into the trees with a covered wagon that sleeps 8 and plenty of picinic tables and shade for everyone. It is very well maintained and very enjoyable.
The kids have plenty of room to explore and the views are spectacular.
If you love the outdoors and are looking secluded spots this is it! The hosts were amazing, from leading you into your campsite, to making sure we had everything we needed they were all very friendly.
This is a "Return To" place.
Our family loved this place!
Thank you all for providing such an amazing experience and for keeping that bit of history alive!
