This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive. The one RV site is for 16 ft. or less vehicles and smaller teardrop trailers with limited hook-up and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. Forest setting while still close to stores in case of forgotten items but the gift shop is stocked with camping supplies, as well. Variety of small wildlife in the area. All sites allow campfires UNLESS we are under a county wide burn ban. *Note moderate cancellation policy for most dates - full refund 3 days before check-in time. * ** Special event camping is a strict no refund policy.

This tent site offers fantastic views of the sunset and if you enjoy sitting amongst the wildflowers this is your spot!  It has a picnic table and fire pit.  There is no tent pad but you can tuck your tent away under the trees.  It sits off of the yellow trail that runs along the bluff and close to the playground.   Please note, this site is in close proximity to the cliffs along our western border and may not be suitable for groups with small children. Tent site · Sleeps 8
This site is perfect for families that want access to the playground but yet take in the sunsets and starry skies!  It sits in between the yellow trail and the playground separated by a grove of trees.  Please note, this site is in close proximity to the cliffs along our western border and may not be suitable for groups with small children. There is no tent pad but the grove of trees offer shade, a place to hang some hammocks or tuck a couple of tents.  It is a short downhill walk  down a rocky stream path to the site.  The site has a picnic table and fire ring but just above the site is a covered picnic table and grill as well.  Parking for 2 regular vehicles is a short distance from the site,  restrooms are across the road and showers are up the hill.  Additional parking passes may be purchased.

#10 - Camp Road

95% (38)
Tent site · Sleeps 8
This is the most secluded site at the park.  This is a hike in site with a steep incline up off the camp road. It features an 8 ft cement slab and privacy from others. There is a fire ring and grassy spot to pitch a tent. There is room for a tie out for a dog if traveling with your pet. This site also has a nice amount of shade. We now have a table at this site. We will soon be adding a grill to the site. This site is great for those who want to social distance while camping. There is a space for one vehicle to park and unload at the base of the incline.
