Blessed in the Northwest are responsive and provide a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors. The location is secluded and the rare traffic you may hear is from local ranchers tending their land. This is a great launching point from which to explore wonderful places nearby, like the Washita National Wildlife Refuge.
I made an excursion to Owl Cove nearby the camp. After you park, you have to walk out of the lot until you see a white metal gate on your right. Go around it and walk along the dirt road. I saw a lot of critter tacks but no human. Abundant, beautiful vistas and biota await on that path.
If you are looking for an easy escape to a quiet, peaceful setting, Blessed in the Northwest is that place. Travis and Jen were very prompt with answering any questions beforehand in such a friendly manner. The written directions to the site were exact and I had no problem getting there. I also used Apple Maps and that too was accurate. Surprisingly, I did have pretty good Cel service at the site with Verizon. Travis and his daughters were there when I arrived, making sure everything was set up just right for my visit. All the comforts of a nice camp-A picnic table with extra wide seats, a fire ring and wood, and even a comfy hammock. The only neighbors were the field of curious cows. It was a great place to take a breather before hitting the road again in the morning. I will look forward to returning again in my journeys. Thanks Travis, Jen, and the girls!
Travis and Jennifer were super communicative and I found the site easily, even in the dark. Everything was great!
