My cousin and I stayed at Cozy Hideaway one rainy evening. While we were disappointed to miss out on the hiking that first evening we enjoyed a quiet disconnected evening away from everything! The cabin is definitely cozy and so cute. Perfect for a quick getaway! In the morning we were able to enjoy the trails right there in the 'backyard'. Its just a quick hike to a nice still pond and on the way we saw chickens and a pig! Definitely enjoyed our trip! There is a DVD player and a small tv so bring movies if you want! :)

Beautiful spot in the hills, as secluded as advertised. Our kids had a good time exploring the grounds and getting to know Smokey (the dog). Fantastic stargazing at night. The cabin was well equipped and very well maintained -- not drafty at all and the A/C came in handy when the temperature got a little bit higher than expected.

Note: The tick situation was particularly bad at the time of year we were there, be prepared to do frequent checks and bring some tweezers.

The cabin was very well kept in a very nice secluded area. The host was amazing working with my last minute booking. I would recommend this cabin for anyone looking to get away to a nice relaxing place. The shawnee national forrest is nearby and has very scenic trails.

Yes yes yes! Cozy hideaway was lovely! Location perfect, AWESOME hiking trails less than 5 mins away. NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION, this was a huge plus for us. Cabin has all the basics, nice deck and grill (which we utilized!) this is a cabin, it’s not fancy, you will face bugs and an uncomfortable futon mattress to sleep on, but that is all part of the experience!!!! Wayne is fabulous, called the night before to give directions, he lives next door and we ended up having drinks with him and his friends one night. They were all warm and welcoming, the dearest humans! Overall, excellent, would love to visit again

The cabin was very nice and the property was wooded and private. We were visited daily by two wonderful local dogs who made the visit even more special. Even better was the cabin's location relative to local activities. We were a short drive from three wonderful trails:
Buzzardroost Rock
Wildnerness trail
Lynx Prairie
If I ever return I would like to stay in the same cabin again

You couldn't ask for a cozier cabin or a more welcoming host. It was all of the comforts of home in a tiny cabin with the added bonus of a pond and some pigs! Wayne also saved my birthday dinner lol.
